Dear Bible believers, Did any of you read Gail A. Riplinger's book "In Awe of Thy Word" which is a defense of the KJV Only movement. Those people believe the 1611 AD KJV Bible, without the Apocrypha (the original KJV of 1611 AD did include the Apocrypha books), is the "inspired, inerrant Word of God in the English language". And that all other English language Bibles are "unholy" and "the product of satan", or some such rhetoric. See the work and words of Doug Kutilek (cf. on GOOGLE) on the KJV Only movement.

Sincerely, A supporter of the KJV, ONT, OSB, ESV, NIV, ESV, NIrV, AMP, NASB, NASBU, MLB, KJ21, TMB (NAV), MKJV, RSV, any good Bible is a good Bible. Even the NEB and REB, and in places, the NRSV, are all right in places. Every valid translation is (contains) the Word of God.

Sorry WHAT?!

I think that the KJV of the bible is the best one that a Christian can read because of its simplicity and more importantly, because of its consistency.

I also think that it's possible for Christians to get fanatical about the KJV of the bible and lose sight of the fact that the gospel message is simple and can be learned by a few bible verses, regardless of the version or translation.

Dear "Strangelove", What did I miss? Isn't any version of the English Bible the Word of God? Which ones are defective? It takes a lot of study to answer that question correctly, doesn't it. Some assume the KJV is the only valid Bible. That is an assumption, not a fact. It needs proof. In something as important as which Bible is the word of God, we need study. Many Bibles seem to be mostly the word of God. Mostly accurate translations of the original Greek NT (and of course of the OT as well). In Erie PA Scott
