Christianity is growing in Iran. Some predict the Ayatollah's will be overthrown:
This would fit end time prophecy of a peaceful Israel, a land without "walls" residing in peace, not at war with her neighbors:
10 `Thus says the Lord GOD: "On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:
11 "You will say,`I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates'--
12 "to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. (Ezek. 38:10-12 NKJ)
At least three Questions must be answered:
1)Does Ezekiel 38 apply to the end time before Armageddon
2)Will Iran revert to pre "Islamic Revolutionary Days"
35 "Thus says the LORD of hosts:`Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might.
36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.
37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,' says the LORD;`And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them.
38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,' says the LORD.
39 `But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,' says the LORD." (Jer. 49:35-50:1 NKJ)
[ Elam in the Bible refers to an ancient kingdom located in the area of what is now southwestern Iran. But the ruling Islamists live in Northern Iran so the connection is debateable]
3)While it is prophesied the end time apostasy will affect Christianity, its also correct so many Christians come out of the "great tribulation" they can't be numbered. Does this indicate many will be Iranian?
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12 saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen."
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?"
14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
16 "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
17 "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." (Rev. 7:9-17 NKJ)
