Is the Bible Allegorical?

Let me give an example of what I am saying:

The Bible might describe a circumstance that has similarities to something you have experienced in life. You might therefore choose to apply the lesson from the circumstance in the Bible to the circumstance in your life. On the other hand, since the two circumstances are not exactly the same, you might choose not to apply the lesson in the Bible to the circumstance in your life.

Many parts of God's word are allegorical. Jesus' parables were designed to represent a truth we need to apply.

In Christ, we have the wisdom of the Holy Spirit who urges us to apply the truths we see.

Yes or no?
Is the Bible allegorical, elijah? Sometimes, depending on the context. Christ said of Himself, "I am the door". He did not mean He is a wooden plank with a knob in the middle.
He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." He meant of Himself, literally, those words, and that is not allegory. He is "the living Word of God", "God manifest in the flesh".
So, elijah, the thing is, it depends upon the context of the words. Sometimes, the language is allegorical, sometimes literal, sometimes symbolic, sometimes typological, sometimes covenantal. In Erie Scott H.
