I am enclosing a copy of Joel Rosenberg's blog this morning. As Christians I would like to suggest we pray for the fate of Israel and perhaps the United States. Ahmadinejad is well on record for wanting to remove Israel and the United States from the map.

AHMADINEJAD VS. NETANYAHU: THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME OF IRAN'S "ELECTIONS" IS ANOTHER REGIONAL WAR

(Washington, D.C., June 15, 2009) -- The Supreme Leader of Iran has spoken, and it is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for another four years. A major, cataclysmic war is the most likely outcome of the Iranian elections. And the battle lines are clear. It's Netanyahu vs. Ahmadinejad -- Bibi vs. Mahmoud -- and the big question is: Who will strike first?

This weekend's events in Iran tell us a lot.

First, the results prove that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei firmly, completely and whole-heartedly supports Ahmadinejad's End Times beliefs. Khamenei also fully supports Ahmadinejad's commitment to build nuclear weapons and long-range, high-speed ballistic missiles. There is no daylight between Khamenei and Ahmadinejad on this Radical eschatology, or End Times theology, as some analysts and commentators have suggested. These two men are who I have said all along they are: members of an apocalyptic, genocidal death cult. They are kindred spirits. They believe the wind is at their backs, that Allah is on their side, and they believe they will soon see complete victory. That's what makes them so dangerous.

Second, the results prove that the people of Iran never had a real choice. This wasn't a real election. It was totally and completely rigged by a Radical Muslim mafia. The aftermath became, as one Iranian noted over the weekend, a Tehran Tiananmen. Protesters and dissidents were beaten, arrested and tortured. Text messaging was turned off. Facebook was shut down. The internet was down or slowed for vast stretches. All this prevents ordinary citizens from mobilizing their opposition to the government. That said, however, the massive turnout at the polls -- and the street demonstrations and violence in Iran over the weekend -- showed that even though Iranians didn't have real Reformer candidates to choose from, the vast Iranians are deeply disgusted with the current regime. They long for true freedom and true democracy. They desperately wanted the elections to be real. They are ABA -- Anybody But Ahmadinejad. They don't buy into the regime's End Times theology. They desperately want someone to liberate them. I feel for them. I want them to be free. Now more than ever.

Third, the results prove that the Obama administration's belief that you can sit down and have a rational discussion with such Radicals -- or trust an agreement even if one could be negotiated with them -- is nonsensical. How could we possibly trust the Iranian leadership to keep a promise to stop building nuclear weapons (if such a promise were made), when they steal elections and beat and torture dissidents in front of the whole world?

Fourth, as for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech, he was right: Iran is the real threat to the region and the world, not Israel's refusal to make more "land for missiles concessions" to the Palestinian leadership.

Fifth, we need to continue praying for peace, for war. Our Joshua Fund board met over the weekend for several days of strategic prayer and planning meetings. At this point, we see our mandate clearly: Do everything we can to educate, awaken and mobilize the followers of Jesus Christ to pray for peace, and do everything we can prepare for war in case the Lord allows a cataclysmic battle ensue between Israel and Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah. We are working on building the organizational and financial infrastructure to eventually provide $100 million worth of food, clothing, medical supplies and other relief aid to Israel, and another $20 million to Israel's immediate neighbors. This will take time and much effort. It's not clear how quickly we can achieve this goal, but I believe we are moving in the right direction. We've expanded our budget this year (In 2006, TJF's budget was $160,000. This year, it is about $5.7 million.) We've increased the size of our staff (from 1 in 2006 to 4 full time employees today). We are actively recruiting several new staff positions. We're working with our financial services provider to expand their capacity for receiving and processing donations. We're working to improve our communications to our donors so we can do a still-better job at briefing them on the projects we're doing and how we're investing the resources they've entrusted to us. We're recruiting more prayer partners. We're building more government and civilian allies in Israel and the region. We're working to build more allies among evangelical pastors and ministry leaders in North America and beyond. We're also taking up to 300 evangelical leaders and lay people to Israel in November for a prayer & vision trip. And, as the Lord gives us grace, strength and resources, we will do more to help followers of Christ learn, pray, give and go. This is a critical moment. The threat is real. The time is short. We would be grateful for your continued prayers and support in the weeks and months ahead. God bless you.

REV 16;12
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;and the water thereof was dried up,that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

I think we got a ways to go before Iran makes a move to Armegedon.
Perhaps about three years after the two witnessses start thier testimony and the heavens rain not. :twocents

Armageddon is at least 7 years away, but there will still be wars and rumors of wars during the next 7 years. Isa.17 and Eze.38-39 are still yet to come. Some say that the war of Gog and Magog reads like it is at the beginning of the 7 years. The world sure is looking like these countries will battle eachother soon. Some think that the Eze.38-39 is the result of Israels nuclear strike against Damascus (Isa.17). Some say the 7 years will begin early July 2009 based on many studies. We will soon see it all unfold. Keep watching Israel and studying prophecy. If what some believe is true, then the next 3-4 weeks should be very interesting.

"Then he [angel] said to me, 'These words are faithful and true.' And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must SHORTLY take place. 'Behold, I am coming SOON! . . . . And he [angel] said to me, 'Do NOT seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is NEAR.'" (Rev. 22:6, 10)

At least 7 for sure.

Maybe even 8 or 9 depending on the North Koreans and Iranians.

Could possibly be up to 20 years away if the european union cooporates.

some say it's 150 years off because of the upcoming pole shift

Others say the Myan Calendar will re-set the 2000 year clock and we have millennia to wait (just like the apostles did)

That'd be cool

I have news for you brother there are many that think it's less then seven years and that we are in tribulation now (not my view mind you). But you may want to have a gander at this:

This is nothing new.
Indeed every generation since (and including) Christ's generation has claimed theirs was the last days generation. Funny thing is, Jesus and the Apostles were the only ones with any authority make such a claim.

What do you suppose these folks today know that Jesus and the apostles didnt'?

Your signature says you can prove ours is that generation.
What do YOU know that Jesus and the apostles didn't?

Ahmadinejad in Russia - Despite the Protests

Joel Rosenberg’s Weblog

A NEW REVOLUTION IN IRAN? Reformers are on the streetsJune 17, 2009...12:40 pm
AHMADINEJAD IN MOSCOW

Shanghai Cooperation Organization meetings are underway in Moscow..

Prophetic? As Iranian forces murder pro-democracy protesters, Ahmadinejad heads straight for Moscow.

Massive protests in Iran not seen since ‘79 Revolution.
FLASH: IAEA head admits Iran seeking nuclear bomb

Students of Bible prophecy should keep a close eye on events unfolding in Iran and the epicenter, and keep praying for the Lord to have mercy on that country. With upwards of a million young, pro-democracy Reformers on the streets of Iran demanding an end to the Radicals’ regime, Iranian security forces have murdered as many as two dozen protesters. Iranian leaders are now threatening the Reformers with the death penalty. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad  freshly annointed by the Supreme Leader to stay as the face and voice of the regime’s apocalyptic agenda  couldn’t care less. Ahmadinejad headed straight for Moscow yesterday.

There, he met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to continue building a political and military alliance between Russia, China, Iran and Islamic countries in Central Asia. Currently, Iran has “observer†status in the SCO, but has requested full member status. The SCO alliance is evocative of the eastern-portion of the biblical alliance foretold in Ezekiel 38-39 that will come against Israel and seek to destroy the Jewish people in what the Bible calls the “last days†of history.

When one considers how closely Russia and Iran are currently growing to the western portion of the prophetic alliance  Sudan, Libya and Algeria, for example  it’s not hard to envision these prophecies coming true in our lifetime, or even in the next few years. That said, I believe it is currently too soon to draw any conclusions. There are many intriguing trends and developments, but it remains far from clear that we’re seeing Bible prophecy come to pass. That said, we cannot rule out the possibility. Events in the region are both unprecedented and riveting. All the more reason for followers of Jesus Christ to “get ready and be prepared†for whatever lies ahead.

MIRACLE, OR MANIPULATION? Excerpt from an NYT story worth noting: “Iranians are generally united in viewing the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to another four-year term as a miracle. Some believe it in the literal sense that the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, seemed to intend when he said ‘the miraculous hand of God’ was at work. Others believe it in the sense that they see no earthly explanation why an incumbent who presided over worsening inflation, unemployment and isolation would draw more than seven million more votes than in his first victory.†Observation: With the full backing of his Supreme Leader for his apocalyptic End Times beliefs, is Ahmadinejad more or less likely to give up Iran’s nuclear weapons program to the Obama administration?

A Society Ready to Rumble - The I.D.F. in Prophecy

By Bill Salus

From shovels to Sherman Tanks, pitchforks to Patriot Missiles, and knifes to Nuclear Warheads, those scrappy Israeli Defense Forces (I.D.F.) have managed to defend a nation that for all intents and purposes should have been wiped off the map a few decades ago. Coming out of 1,878 years of worldwide dispersion and a grave holocaust condition, the Jews have managed to muster up a military mechanism that in just sixty-one years now threatens to send Iran’s nuclear program back to the “stone- ageâ€Â.

Many experts, like eschatologist Hal Lindsey and former U.S. U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, are suggesting that may soon be about to happen. Israel appears readied to knock the nuclear bow temporarily out of Iran’s hand and from my prophetic vantage point this could be a primary reason Iran, formerly Persia until 1935, isn’t listed in the upcoming Psalm 83 confederate invasion of Israel. Persia is omitted from the Psalm 83 bible prophecy but oddly they bare their banner in the Russian invasion of Israel described in Ezekiel 38 and 39, which is an event some scholars, myself included, sequence subsequent to Psalm 83.

It could be that a forthcoming strategic Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites renders Iran of little utility to the Psalm 83 confederates destined to soon formulate to destroy Israel according to Bible Prophecy.

Amazingly, against all odds, the nation of Israel continues to survive. The Arabs, who for the most part refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist, have attempted to destroy the Jewish nation conventionally in 1948, 1967, and 1973. When conventional attempts failed the Arabs persuaded the Palestinian Refugees to formulate terrorist organizations like the PLO, Fatah, and Hamas, to antagonize the restoration of the Jewish nation via unconventional methods of warfare. These terrorist groups, many now turned political parties, enabled the Arab nations to maintain clean hands while busloads full of Jewish blood poured into the streets of Jerusalem.

In the summer of 2006 the Hezbollah terrorist organization performed a feat the Arab States had never been able to accomplish; they successfully fought against and embarrassed the Israeli Defense Forces. Not Israel, but the Arabs were able to feel a sense of victory in the aftermath of that month long conflict. The Hezbollah proved that the unconventional method of warfare called terrorism worked! The Hezbollah do not comprise an Arab State, rather they are thugs, turned terrorists, processed into militant politicians. Presently they have veto power in the Lebanese legislature and, according to conservative estimates, possess over forty thousand advanced rockets, some perhaps chemically charged, that are strategically positioned for the opportune time to take out Tel Aviv.

The present Israeli leadership is so concerned about the current Hezbollah threat that they recently completed the largest civilian defense drill in their nation’s history. Turning Point 3, as it was labeled, was a societal top to bottom shake down of all facets of Israeli civilian life in preparation for the possibility of a multi-front war with Iran’s proxies the Hezbollah, Syrians, and Hamas.

Why them and why now? Is Israel expecting President Obama’s dangerous Rodney King “can’t we all just get along†style of Mideast foreign policy, called “engagementâ€Â, to fail? Apparently so; Ehud Barak, the Israeli Defense Minister, has all of the I.D.F. and I.A.F. (Israeli Air Forces) combat ready for the same scenario anticipated in the Turning Point 3 exercise.

Is something of biblical proportion about to erupt in the epicenter of the Middle East? It appears so and from the prophecy buff’s perspective it’s about time. The international community has had sixty-one years to step up to the plate and promote Israel’s right to exist and to call Jerusalem its holy capital city! Instead they are encouraging that the Jews give back East Jerusalem as part of a 2-State Solution to the Palestinian Refugees. This is not biblically endorsed according to Genesis 12:3, 15:18, Jeremiah 12:14-17 and elsewhere.

No my brothers and sisters it appears the time has come for the fulfillment of prophecies that demonstrate today’s Israeli Defense Forces exist in fulfillment of Bible Prophecy. Prophecies like Ezekiel 25:14 and Obadiah 1:18 which announce the I.D.F. will destroy the Palestinians likely leaving hardly a survivor behind. Passages like Isaiah 17:1 and Jeremiah 49:2 that declare the doom of Damascus and the transfer of Jordanian sovereignty into Israeli hands.

These passages and a flurry of others highlighted by Ezekiel 37:10, which dares to declare that someday the I.D.F. will be called an “exceedingly great armyâ€Â, appear about ready to adorn the prophetic pages of modern day history. The only thing standing between the crowning achievement of the I.D.F becoming classified as exceedingly great is a few decisive victories over Israel’s modern day nemeses. Victories that may begin with a surgical strategic strike upon Iran’s nuclear sites and conclude with a massive domino Israeli conquest over the Hezbollah, Syrians, Hamas, and other enjoining members of the Psalm 83 confederates.

Will Israel Strike Iran?

Hal Lindsey

Many factors are now converging to indicate that Israel is at long last about to attack Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities.

•Factor 1: President Obama's plan to draw Iran into an arms-length working relationship to help the U.S. establish stable governments in Iraq and Afghanistan and to restrain terrorist activities in the region have clearly been dashed. If there was ever any hope of that plan working, it was clearly rejected by the Ayatollahs and Ahmadinejad when they smashed the popular rebellion of citizens over the rigged Presidential election. If Obama had any plans to force Iran to abandon their headlong pursuit of producing nuclear weapons, it was clearly rejected by the current Iranian leadership. The Obama administration has indicated by its failure to act against both Iran and North Korea's flagrant violations of U.N. warnings that it has no intention of taking the only option left to stop Iran - military action.

•Factor 2: In the light of this, the Saudi and Egyptian leaders now recognize that the U.S. has no plan to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. They, along with other Muslim Middle East oil producing nations realize that their futures are in great peril if Iran goes nuclear and becomes the dominant Muslim power in the world. A former head of research in Israeli intelligence said, "The Saudis are very concerned about an Iranian nuclear bomb, even more that the Israelis."

So it appears that The Saudis and Egyptians have adopted a strategic principle from Muhammad - "the enemy of my enemy is my friend!"

Referring to a leak from a ‘diplomatic source', The London Sunday Times reported that Saudi officials have agreed in secret talks with Mossad Chief Meir Dagan to turn a blind eye to Israeli planes if they fly over kingdom to attack Iranian nuclear sites.

In any Muslim secret understanding with Israel, it is understood that they must always have public "deniability". And as soon as the Sunday Times reported this leak, the denials from the Saudis, Egyptians and Israel were predictably immediate.

•Factor 3: Another factor that indicates that an Israeli attack on Iran is imminent was revealed on July 3rd. DEBKAfile gave a special report on an Israeli Dolphin class submarine's move from the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean via the Suez Canal. This was ostensibly done to take part in naval maneuvers in the Eilat-Red Sea area. This submarine has the ability to launch advanced nuclear-armed cruise missiles through its torpedo tubes. This is a necessary capability for any future attack against Iran's nuclear facilities. It could not only launch a second strike, but also be used to pick up downed Israeli airmen. For this submarine to move through the Suez Canal required Egyptian approval. And once again, Egypt denied any such thing took place, even though there are pictures of the sub moving through the canal.

•Factor 4: In a startling interview by ABC's George Stephanoupolos of VP Joseph Biden, a tacit "green light" seems to have been telegraphed to Israel that the U.S. will not interfere with any future attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. During the interview, Mr. Biden said, "Look, Israel can determine for itself - it's a sovereign nation - what's in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else."

•Factor 5: The most important factor to me is that according to many Bible prophecies about the "last days" reborn State of Israel, it cannot be destroyed. The Messiah will return to a hopelessly surrounded Israeli State and miraculously deliver it. He will then take Israel's believing remnant and turn the state into the center of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth for a thousand years. If Iran gets nuclear weapons, as reported in another article on this report, It could and would destroy Israel in seconds.

So I believe it is time for all born again believers to pray for God's people. I believe the long anticipated strike by Israel on Iran is imminent. But it will not be without great cost. Iran has the ability to strike all over Israel with a barrage of ballistic missiles that will cause many casualties. It is horrible to think about, but Israel knows that if they delay until Iran goes nuclear, the casualties will be infinitely worse. So Israel, once again with its very existence at stake, must act alone in its own behalf. And the world stands by and offers no help. Let us stand by them in prayer to their God.

If Im not mistaken ,Jesus said the children of the kingdom would be cast out. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. How could this be mistaken as delivering it?
