I went to an old forum I used to post in. I looked back on some of my posts from a couple of years ago and saw I had debated a fellow concerning Job. He had stated Job had brought about his own afflictions through his own fear. I had said in order to come to that conclusion, he'd have to throw out several verses where God Himself said Job had done absolutely nothing to bring about his afflictions. I don't understand people so dedicated to indoctrination that they feel justified in telling God what He really meant.

See it a lot on internet forums.

One Christian site I go to had a poster do a book and blog promotion. He posted the most controversial thread titles just to get hits to promote his stuff. He even had two featured threads. LOL.

I know EXACTLY what God means.

He means for us to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with Him.

I wouldn't put it that way. People have a variety of understandings. Some far apart, others not so much. You work from where you are. The question is, is one teachable. No one has a perfect theology. No one has a perfect understanding of the meaning of everything Jesus ever said. We need not only to examine the teaching/claims/understandings of others, we need to examine our own as well. Then, grow where your planted. There are orthodox views. Learn those but examine those claims as well. Even the Church is not infallible.
