It is clear the Taliban has a problem with women, and women's human rights. They won't even let girls go to school. But there is knowledge in books, so I wonder if we might send books to women and girls in Afghanistan. It's an idea that has just occurred to me, so it is not in any way thought through. Is it a silly idea, or do you think it might be worth pursuing?

If anyone is interested in helping out, I think the first step is to find out what language(s) are spoken in Afghanistan, and whether there are suitable English to Afghan/Afghan to English dictionaries available. Some of you may have direct knowledge, and if so, it would be gratefully received.

I have decided to run with the idea, and see how far we can get.
