Lara Croft Last Revelation Question

I realize that this is an old game, but I was wondering if anyone around here is adept at playing it. I want to get some Uzis and have to go through this circular blade room and poor Lara keeps getting sliced and diced. I've read and re-read Stella's walkthroughs, but try as I might I can't get to the level where supposedly some flares are.

Its been a while since I played it. What level and where exactly are you? And is it just so you don't get sliced? or is it you can't find the weapons? If you are playing PC doesn't stella give you downloads so you can skip a bit or do you want to try and do it yourself?

I had PS for all mine and I notice on her pages that sometimes the PC version is slightly different.
