Lazarus - Symbolic Of Israel Today - Revived But Not Redeemed
Lazarus raised from the dead is symbolic of Israel Today - Revived But Not Redeemed!
All religions have a structure (hint: rituals) whereby believers can negate the effects of their sins thereby principally obtaining eternal life in the hereafter. But consider the story of Jesus Christ raising Lazarus from the dead.
The story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead highlights the fact that even though Lazarus died because of his sins it did not negate those sins once he was raised from the dead.
If our penalty for sinning against God is death then Lazarus should have come out of his tomb fully restored to the sinless state that mankind had in the Garden of Eden with eternal life and without the knowledge of Good and Evil.
But Lazarus didn't have any eternal life, or had gotten rid of the knowledge of Good and Evil, for he died once again later in life. Lazarus was revived, but not redeemed. Lazarus had to be 'born again', not 'raised again', to obtain eternal life with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.
It is interesting that since Jesus Christ is God become man then Jesus has the same knowledge of Good and Evil that we obtained through our original sin in the Garden of Eden. All of mankind has the same knowledge of Good and Evil that God has. But Jesus Christ has an unique advantage of having the same knowledge of Good and Evil that we all have, but not through any sin. For as God become man Jesus Christ always had the knowledge of Good and Evil.
Only a belief in Jesus Christ, God's only son, God become man, could any man be redeemed (hint: born again) to obtain eternal life in heaven. Lazarus being raised from the dead shows that even if we had paid the price of our own sins, meaning that we all died and then were revived like Lazarus, our separation from God would not have been addressed at all for we would still have the 'loot' from our original sin mainly the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Israel today is struggling with the reality that it has been revived by Jesus Christ (hint: through the involvement of Christian nations) but it still lacks the redemptive power that comes with truly believing in the death and resurrection of God the Father's only son Jesus Christ. Israel is now waiting for its redemption.....which will begin with its baptism...... the rapture!
Jesus Christ came to this world to die on the cross. Not because he had any sin that necessitated that death but because he willingly offered his life to atone for our transgressions that separates us from the Godhead. Sinners are 'born again' into a relationship with the Godhead by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is God become man, God's only son.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that you are forgiven for your sins as an individual as opposed to the Antichrist who will offer forgiveness as a group by placing his mark '666' on everyone's flesh. God, in the person of Jesus Christ, places his mark on our spirit, not our flesh, through the indwelling Holy Spirit (hint: get baptized!).
