Almost bed time for wrigley (my pet name thanks to Rollo) bed time. Others may know me as WRG.
Don't know about you but when I go to bed and talk to God my focus can be on me and not him. I lift up all the crap that the day has thrown at me. At times it never occurs to me to thank him, for his mercies in my life.
Nothing wrong with lifting up what life throws at us, he wants us to do it. But I do think he wants us to be thankful and praise him.
He is greater than what life throws at us, he is in control. At the very least we can praise him for that.
As I encourage myself to praise him and thank him for this day and pray for tomorrow that I will be more like him I encourage you all to do the same.
Amongst the crap there is a rose petal that smells beautiful.
Psalm 145
A psalm of praise. Of David.
I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.

but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name

Let all that lives forever praise his name,
May you all sleep well.
