If god loves us for his name and glory (as mentioned throughout the bible), does that take away from the genuineness and real-ness of his love? Why or why not?

I guess I don't really get what you are asking, can you be a little more specific?
Give a few scripture you are questioning.

I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great. (Psalm 25:11)

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake! (Psalm 79:9)

Though our iniquities testify against us, act, O Lord, for your name's sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you. (Jeremiah 14:7)

We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you. Do not spurn us, for your name's sake; do not dishonor your glorious throne. (Jeremiah 14:20-21)

"For the sake of My name I delay my wrath, and for My praise I restrain it for you, in order not to cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act; for how can My name be profaned? And My glory I will not give to another." (Isaiah 48:9-11)

Your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake. (1 John 2:12)

I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

What God is meaning here I think by saying for His own sake; We did not deserve to be pardoned and we had no claim to it. He did this I believe to show the benevolance of His character, and to promote His Glory by our forginess

Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great. (Psalm 25:11)

I'll quote here, (From, Albert Barnes "notes on the Bible")
The idea here is that God would do this on His own account, or for the honor of His own name. This is A reason, and one of the main reasons, why God ever pardons iniquity. It is that the honor of His name may be promoted; that His glorious character may be displayed; that he may show himself to the universe to be merciful and gracious. There are, doubtless, other reasons why He pardons sin - reasons drawn from the bearing which the act of mercy will have on the welfare of the universe; but still the main reason is, that His own honor will thus be promoted, and His true character thus made known.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake! (Psalm 79:9)

"For the Glory Of thine Name", this is to say for His honor alone, that His name be honored.

I wont answer all the scripture you used, I think you get what I am saying it is the same throughout.

Bottom line here is God is the Creator, He created us for His own pleasure, we see in Revelation,

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

So in answer to your question,

"does that take away from the genuineness and real-ness of his love? Why or why not"?

No it does not take away from God's genuine and real love for us.
Becasue He did not have to forgive us, He did not have to do anything, He could have used the godly eraser and say scrap this thought they are junk, no He loved us so much that He decided to give us another way another chance.

Not sure if I answerd you the way you want, but I hope that helps.

God loved us so much He gave His own son so that through the act of His death and resurrection, by His Grace through our faith we can now be in relationship with God once again, and forevermore.

When the Bible discusses the Lord’s love, I think it is referring to how he TREATS us, not to how he FEELS ABOUT us.

Remember that part of the Lord’s love is disciplining us when we behave selfishly.

I, for one, still don't know what you are asking.

I think they go hand in hand, I believe God does things for us out of His genuine love (intimate love, His feelings) for us as well as showing us discipline (how He treats us)
I am not so sure you separate one from the other.
I believe God feels great love for us, great compassion, so out of that love he shows an even greater love by His actions.
