Thought I'd post it here, because when people read my poetic work, this one generally seems to be the most favored.
"Love Steps"
My love is like a flight of stairs
Except these stairs will never end
Each step is filled with loving care
I'll never touch the floor again
Sometimes I skip a step or two
You make me feel like I can fly
Sometimes I skip three steps, it's true
I'm higher than the daytime sky
My love is stepping to the stars
To string them for a necklace
And bring it to you from afar
Four steps to skip to earn a kiss
These stairs ascend beyond the heavens
Past all matter, space, and time
I jump five steps, then six, then seven
To leave the mortal world behind
Forever loftier they climb
Up further than my eyes can see
No love for you surpasses mine
My love-steps of infinity
