Making marriage last

This I believe is the recipe,

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. 6 It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I agree with Mike 01075.

I've been married for 4.5 years and my wife is my very best friend in the world. We have so much fun together! I think that is an important ingredient - friendship.

Also, a proper understanding of what marriage is.

What Mike said..... :D

Selfless love, mutual respect, an honest desire to please the other, and above all a relationship with Christ at the center - that is the single most important thing.

All of the above. My husband and I make sure we never go to bed angry - we'll sit up and sort things out. Forgiveness is important, as is giving each other space.

Jules
