Man's Nakedness and Social Justice

For those who think that God had created this world, and everything in it including mankind, to exemplify God's own essence and holiness culminating in the pursuit of social and/or economic justice, think again. Social justice is the current 'intellectual fad' of the godless in their attempt to captivate the weak and lazy mind of God's faithful into using the inequality of material goods to cast aspersions on God's own character. The notion that equality, materialistic or otherwise, is to become the defining expression of God's ultimate purpose for mankind is foolhardy.

Isn't interesting that God created mankind bereft of any materialistic goods including clothes. It is only when mankind became sinful did he (man) notice that he lacked clothes, and that he now lacked possessions. Before his sin man was content with God's presence in the Garden of Eden supplying all of his worldly desires. It was only when Satan, disguised as a serpent, brought his own sin (the desire for equality with God) to Adam and Eve and placed in their mind the thought that they could become equal with God by simply eating of the forbidden fruit that they began to notice any inequality. Realize that God created mankind in his image therefore it was easy for Satan to lure mankind into thinking that they, not only had the right to be equal with God, but it could be an attainable goal through an act of disobedience.

Presently Christians advocate social and economic justice as if God has neglected his duty and allowed an imbalance of possessions to envelope his faithful thereby ruining their spirituality. Remember that right after Adam and Eve's sin they began to perceive their nakedness and lack of possessions and it was God who then clothed them. So we see it was God who provided man's first possession. God did not sit man down and instruct him on how he was to clothe himself, God did it for him. This shows that man cannot save himself, only God can by the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ.

Also, this little point (seemingly insignificant that God provided man's first possession), is to highlight the fact that all possessions emanate from God and it is he who has the final say as to their distribution. Now if we look to the 10 commandments, which are laws directly from God himself, they paint a picture of not stealing other peoples possessions, nor coveting the. It is clear we are not to lust after other people's possessions just to rectify a perceived unfair imbalance. So social justice and economic justice is just another of Satan’s ruses to get man to sin by taking what doesn’t belong to him just as mankind first had done in the Garden of Eden.

God, in killing an animal to clothe his creation after their downfall, was demonstrating that he will eventually have to offer his son to die for mankind’s sins to clothe them in salvation. In God's eyes the only possession that man needs in this world is the salvation offered by the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

God Bless

note:

In this time of Easter and Passover it is evident by the story of God clothing his creation that it represents the forgiveness offered by the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ and that any father or pastor's duty is to get their children, or congregation, to heaven through a belief in Jesus Christ. This should be done, not with the pleasures of possessions, but with the principles of Godliness. Which is why Satan wants more fatherless households.

I don't understand the thread title - man has not been naked since Eden.

Isn't interesting that God created mankind bereft of any materialistic goods including clothes. It is only when mankind became sinful did he (man) notice that he lacked clothes...

I find in interesting that clothing came as a result of sin, yet nudity is considered almost universally sinful and lustful today.

Mankind does not have a CLUE about God's plan for us.

After the garden of Eden the bible is full of things about not being naked, there has to be a reason for that. Here in America we are so used to looking on the nakedness of others(usually beautiful women)that we do not even recognize it as anything. It is funny because just yesterday I was thinking about why God would make such a big deal about not showing nakedness, it would be an interesting study.
