God does not have a mother. He is the beginning and the end.

Apostolic Council Of Ephesus – 431 A.D. with authority from Christ to bind and loose the faith of all Christians. Matt 16:19 & 18:18

If anyone does not confess that Emmanuel is God in truth, and therefore that the holy virgin is the mother of God (for she bore in a fleshly way the Word of God become flesh) let him be anathema.

Lk 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Mary is not the mother of the divinity, or the mother of the eternal father, or the mother of the Holy Spirit, nor the source of the divine nature.

Mary is the mother of God, cos Jesus Christ is God and Mary is His mother, not the mother of His body but the mother of His entire person.

"She is rightly called not only the mother of the man, but also the Mother of God ... It is certain that Mary is the Mother of the real and true God."
Martin Luther

"Elizabeth called Mary Mother of the Lord, because the unity of the person in the two natures of Christ was such that she could have said that the mortal man engendered in the womb of Mary was at the same time the eternal God."
John Calvin

Mother of God!

Jesus is a divine person who became man, and not a human person, that is why Mary is truly the “mother of God” Jesus is God, Mary is His mother, so she is the mother of God not to be confused with “source”, she is not the source of God or the mother of the divine nature, or the mother of the eternal Father, nor the mother of the spirit!

But mother of the Son who is God.

Only one person every has a family relationship with God, Mary; and she has three!

Daughter of the Father
Mother of the Son
Spouse of the Holy Spirit

And Jesus being our spiritual brother Mary is our spiritual mother!

God has no mother:

I never said He did, God is uncreated and eternal!

I said Mary is the mother of God!

What’s the difference?

It does not mean that Mary is the mother or source of the divine nature of God, or the mother of the father or the mother of the spirit.

it is a relationship between mother and child, Mary and Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is God;
Mary is His mother;
Mary is the mother of God to deny this is to deny the divinity of Christ and scripture. Lk 1:43

Cannot have Jesus as your spiritual brother unless Mary is your spiritual Mother!

Anyone who has no mother is an orphan.

Jesus said to His disciples; “I will not leave you orphaned” and “behold Thy mother”!
Jn 19:26 spiritual mother
Rev 12:19 spiritual mother

It is Mary who gave birth to the Body of Christ!

We must obey the 4th commandment, “honor Thy father and mother”!

We must obey scripture and call Her “blessed”! Lk 1:48

Thanks

The blasphemy of Helvidius!

This heretic and those like him dare such monstrous things!

Ezekiel 44:2 “This gate shall remain shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter by it; for the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered by it; therefore it shall remain shut.”

Song of Solomon 4:12 A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

(Mary had become the temple & dwelling place of the Almighty, like the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament. Mary was a vessel consecrated to God alone?)

Jesus was conceived pure and immaculate because Mary was pure and immaculate. As Job said “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.” (Job 14:4).

Scripture says: “holiness befits thy house, O Lord” (Ps 93:5). Mary was Jesus’ “house” for 9 months so if holiness befits God’s house would not Mary be holy also? Just like the Ark and the Tabernacle she was set apart and consecrated to the Lord., the holy dwelling of God.

1 cor 3:17 …..for the temple of God is holy….. Mary is the temple, house, dwelling of God, God had need of Her to become man!

The Bible says Joseph a just and therefore a chaste man, it does not say he has gone into Mary anywhere in scripture, 2 Sam 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the Lord loved him. Gen 4:1 Adam knew his wife, Lk 1:34 betrothed to Joseph say “I know no man, scripture Never says this about a Joseph, for He was full of fear and reverence for Her immaculate purity and holiness! Especially after hearing from an angel that her child was of the Holy Spirit! Joseph was full of joy to be the guardian of Mary and her purity!

Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Song of Solomon 6: 9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?

Implore the mercy of God for such an offense! Precious blood of Jesus save us!

Perpetual virginity!

Cos they are consecrated to God in holiness and must be pure and only for God’s purpose and cannot be used for an ordinary purpose without it being a sacrilege!

Mary is consecrated to God alone!
A vow of perpetual virginity! Lk 1:34

Lk 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

“Handmaid of the Lord”!

Implies total consecration to God and His purpose alone!

Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to say Mary is the mother of the flesh and blood Man Jesus Christ?

God BECAME flesh.

The virgin Mary gave birth to flesh and blood human being, the Man Jesus Christ.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

God is Spirit. Mary did not give birth to Spirit.

Mary gave birth to flesh.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Are the decrees of apostolic councils binding on all Christians as matt 16:18-19 and 18:18 says?

Theotokos: God bearer!

Mary was not sinless.

Only Jesus was sinless.
You have a verse that says mary sinned?

How could the holy spirit conceive our salvation in a sinner?

Holy spirit! Lk 1:35
Wretched sinner
Holy son of God

Dont fit do it?

Holy spirit
Holy mary
Holy son of God

Mary’s womb is holy and sacred!

Lk 1:42

Sinners are not faithful but mary is
Lk 1:45

Presence of God produces holiness
Holiness befits thy house!

Knowing the holiness of God we cannot use the ark of the covenant for a bbq dinner or the holy of holies for a rock and roll dance, and why not?

Cos they are consecrated to God in holiness and must be pure and only for God’s purpose and cannot be used for an ordinary purpose without it being a sacrilege!

Mary is consecrated to God alone!

Lk 1:28 full of grace

Lk 1:49 great things plural (immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus)

A good tree!

Biblical Principle

A good tree CANNOT bear bad fruit!
A bad tree (sinner) cannot bear good fruit! (Savior / salvation)

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The fruit of the tree of Mary is our salvation! Matt 1:21 Lk 2:30 Jesus is our salvation! This reflects the immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus!
Lk 1:30 Mary found our salvation!
Lk 1:38 consented to our salvation!

A good tree (immaculate conception) Lk 1:49 God has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes!

A Good tree cannot bear bad fruit!
A biblical principle approved by Jesus even though He knew it would be used to defend His sinless mother!

Mary was not sinless.

Only Jesus was sinless.
You dont agree with your Protestant forefathers?

They believed and defended the immaculate conception of mary (sinless) the mother of God, perpetual virginity, assumption and crowning, devotion and marian prayers too

“I esteem immensely the Mother of God, the ever chaste, immaculate Virgin Mary.” Zwingli
