Good to see hes ok. That must be one of the most scariest things anyone could ever face on earth. A one on one with a great white. Dang. Thats like a Daniel in a Lions den.

For your information, I go to the mountains regularly and there are any number of wild creatures that can, and do, kill people. I'm not entirely cowardly; I just prefer to have a fighting chance with bear spray.

A bear can sneak up on you.florida panther swam out and killed a nurse shark.those were once on our beaches .very good at hiding

Once in a while someone will get killed by a mountain lion (Cougar). They usually do it by stalking and sneaking up behind. Bears don't always sneak; it's usually a chance encounter where the bear is startled and goes into defense mode. But at least there is a fighting chance. Sharks are almost all stealth and then you're dealing with fighting and trying not to drown. Two negatives make a bigger negative.

Do we even have panthers left here in FL? Heck, I've never even seen a bear here and I used to hunt a lot.

we have great whites here.notice they knew about the sharks? They were ready to recover him. Here its shallow.

Keep in mind. That surfers add to the risks.they look seals.I don't worry about that just with swimming.I'm more likely to die or be injured from snakes,dogs,bees.,Africanised bees ,gators then any shark

I would rather take on a bear or lion. At least i can try run up a tree or grap a rock or a stick and poke it in the eye or something to defend myself. Also they dont have hundreds of jagged razor sharp teeth.

Barricudas they are also swimming teeth.they will smile at you while are diving
