I think it's an alright idea, too. God bestows on us a Call, and our own circumstances and spiritual imagination take over from there. This guy will witness to a lot of people. I liked his testimony and his "real" matter-of-fact way of talking.
I have worked for many years as a nurse in oncology, working with end-stage cancer patients. I took the job because I was scared of death, dying, suffering and cancer itself. When I was not too much younger, I used to get physical symptoms of fear and distaste whenever I saw a person in a wheelchair. Now I have a better comfort level with death and have experienced some pretty amazing things at the bedside of the dying person and their family (although sometimes there is no family or else the family is too angry or afraid to be present).
For those who are truly afraid to die and truly afraid of death, this guy's unique ministry may change some hearts.
