This year has been a good one but I do believe it will get better as time goes on. But this summer something I have never done before I will do. This year I plan on making a trip to the city of Chicago.
In July, I am going on a missions trip with my church, New Life Church Hilliard (NLCH), to the inner-city. From July 9th -16th I will join other team of churches and work beside 'n H.I.M (New Hope Inner-city Ministries) and staying at the Moody College dorms. We will be ministering in Chicago with local church as well. Among the thing we plan on doing are: conducting a backyard bible club, participation in community clean-ups, basketball tournaments for street kids, serving in local soup kitchens, and inviting people to evening youth rallies.
I'm currently preparing for this trip in many ways. In war, I takes over 20 people to support the efforts over every soldier on the frontline. Missions work also requires a support team. My expenses on this trip will total $450, which will cover transportation, food, lodging and everything else I will need while I’m gone. I also am hoping to find 25 people who will commit to pray for me everyday while I’m gone. Someone once said, "Nothing of eternal significance happens apart from prayer." I am hoping that my summer vacation will have an eternal significance. In order for that to happen, I need your partnership. I am asking you to be on my support team.
In Matthew 28, Jesus says to us, "Go," so I am going. He told us that He would be with us. I am confident that He will be.
