I use AGV as anti-virus, anti-malware software.

I got big red virus threat warning about a black hole virus when entering christianforums.net today.

Are yall aware and what is being done to resolve?

Yeah, I've had it happen twice when I came to the forum...something has tried to re-direct my browser. Fortunately my security programs have blocked the re-direct...but ya ain't in the boat by yerself!

I am using NORTON, yes I know most people hate them. Anyway I have to shut down the notification part about this forum hijacking my computer or I can't get on. Also those little smily icons on the right side do not work?

Reba if you don't get some protection sooner or later you are going to be in some really big trouble. there is nothing wrong with free virus software it beats having nothing try free AntiVir or AVG and try a free firewall like Comodo which is the best one on the market you can get it free. or Online Armour wich is about the 2nd best for free. And look for a free keylogger scanner. Remember when my laptop got stolen because I an expert let my guard down for a couple of weeks. Over the years I have had some bad stuff happen 2 times my computer was taken over, so take heed Reba. You don't have to use expensive virus software like I do to get some protection.
AntiVir or Anti Vira
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus

AVG
http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free

Free keylogger detection - Keylogger Detector. Anti-spy software - free download! (antispyware, anti-spyware, anti-keylogger, anti-trojan)

Also try Zemana below which is the best one out there, nobody beats them.

And Key Scrambler

another dumb question how do i KNOW i have it loaded on my computer? I couldnt find in add/remove programs

Has the site been hacked? Same problems throughout the day. It directs you to another web address and brings up a page telling me I have viruses and need for it to be cleared. Of course, "click here!"

It only happens on this forum web page/site.

Make sure you check the download it wants you to allow. If it's NOT your anti-virus program, exit out (even if it asks if you want to "remove/clean all").

Also I had this site bookmarked as a favorite and each time I clicked on it the "Virus Alert" came on.

I deleted the (original) bookmark. Cleared my cookies. Manually typed the website. And re-bookmarked it as a favorite. Seemed to have worked.

Something must be right for this to be happening! HAHA We win!

Be blessed, Stay blessed!

The site was totally out earlier today. I checked back and Firefox began to warn me about potential viruses. I said "Ignore" and Avast began going crazy and started blocking the bad stuff.

I got the redirect a few times and I had to manually stop that. The site has been hacked, either directly or indirectly. Was their maintenance that happened very recently? If so I'd revert to whatever was before. Maybe very possibly have upgraded something or added something that was a virus in disguise. Otherwise someone, who is probably going to be in Hell for hacking a Christian website, got us.

I just registered on this site. The browser gets redirected to a site claiming to detect trojans and viruses on my computer. This forum seemed really great, but I may have to stay off until the "all clear" is giving.

Joseph, you are right this is a good site. We are having some troubles at the moment please do keep checking in....Hope to get to know ya!

Yes, CF got hacked. I'm pretty sure we got rid of it, but until it's confirmed, be very careful. Update adobe reader and java or get rid of it. Make sure you have decent virus protection software.

Here is a article that I found I have to use Bing to get on to this site. Firefox and Google will not let me.

Question
I'm really getting irritated by this useless piece of crap. Stopbadware's been interfering sites that I go everyday, and it suddenly blocks from today on. I know it's nothing of a badware. So... Instead of to blame it on a site I adore so much, I would rather get rid of this retarded program or whatever it is that's really getting annoying. How do I remove StopBadWare?

Answer
The malware warnings that I assume you are referring to are not generated by StopBadware. They use data from Google and, depending on where you are seeing them, may be generated by Google, Firefox, or another product or service. StopBadware worked with Google to create fair guidelines for when to list a site as bad, and we provide public education about badware and an independent review process to ensure that Google's data is accurate and open to scrutiny.

To answer your question, in Google search results, you can simply bypass the warnings by entering the site's URL directly in your address bar. In Firefox, you can click the "ignore this warning" link in the lower-right corner of the warning screen. You can also disable the warnings in Firefox entirely by opening the browser's options/preferences, clicking the Security tab, and unchecking "Block reported attack sites."

Of course, Google's data is quite accurate, and by circumventing the warnings, you may expose your computer to malware, with or without visible symptoms. Whatever you decide to do yourself, it may be worth notifying the owner of the site that Google has detected badware, so that s/he may address the issue and get the warnings removed. More information about this can be found at StopBadware - Request a Review.

Glad to see this site back up & running with an all clear!

Good job to all who worked hard to get this problem cleared up.
