Moving into ministry

I'm not the type to do a lot of talking in any area, even when it comes to ministry. I just live it the best I can and let me "Walk" be my "Talk". But God has been pressing me into a few ministries and I guess I will step out.

I have an armwrestling fundraiser scheduled in May to raise money for our Children's Ministry and also God has been pressing me to set up a booth at Biker shows and Car shows this summer and pass out tracts and witness for him.

Anyone have any other ideas along this line, I would love to hear them.

Biker shows? Do you ride? Have you heard of Bikers for Christ? That could be one avenue to do some of these things through. One of the things they do is run booths at bike events and shows.
 
Bikers For Christ are typically excellent groups with which to associate. You'll find many of the membership take part in Poker Runs and other rides for benefits. This might be a good way for you to connect up with them. Your local bike shop should have leads on Bikers For Christ groups in your area if your pastor doesn't know of anyone associated with a Bikers for Christ group.
 
Yea, we have a Bike Club at the church I attend. It's a Vineyard church. We run about 900 people. We have about 60 members in the bike club. (V.C.D.C.M.C. = Vineyard Church Delaware County Motorcycle Club). We checked into the price of a booth at the EasyRider Bike Show here in Columbus. It is 450 dollars for the weekend for a 16 x16 size booth. We are planning that this spring. I think this will be a good start. We'll see.
