We cannot be like Jesus unless we study His words

Ec 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 ¶ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Sure in the wrong spirit, human knowledge about Jesus is NOT the same as knowing Jesus in a relationship

Da 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Knowledge of Jesus has increased along with secular knowledge increasing too

Isa 29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Bible study promises us two things, joy and meekness.
