Today is a very important day. Today is the day I begin to live.
I have been following God, but not listening, walking without thinking. He has been talking to me all my life, and only now have I begun to listen.
Everyone is called to be like Christ. He was our example: God in human form, like us in every way except sin. Though we are forgiven for our sins, being like Jesus requires us not to sin. Though no one can truthfully say he is sinless, we must always strive to overcome the devil.
Christ's main mission was to spread the Word of God, anonymously, so that people may believe without seeing. Likewise, our purpose is to spread the Lord, our Father, to everyone, that we may all be like Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Mt 18:20) When the entire world is filled with God's love, everyone gathered in Jesus's name, God will truly be with us.
It will not be easy. Christ himself was rejected from Nazareth. The unfulfilled seed cast upon thorns will resist you, but do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you. Jesus was tempted in the desert. Likewise, you will be tempted: to quit, to renounce God, to give in to Satan. Do not be deceived, and to be like Christ you must pass these tests just as He did.
