[__ Prayer __] My family needs prayers and help

I'm posting this here because I know there are many people on this board from around the country and the world and I need as many eyes and prayers as possible right now. My sister (Tabitha) made the mistake of getting married and having children at a really young age. Tabitha divorced her husband after only two years of marriage because he was physically abusing her. Tabitha and her ex-husband now share joint custody of their 7 year old son Shane with Tabitha as the primary caregiver. Tabitha let Shane go on a visitation on Christmas day that was supposed to last until New Years day and as of now Shane has yet to be returned to his mother and his father seems to have skipped town and possibly the state with him. We wouldn't be nearly as worried if Shane's father didn't have a history of physical abuse against both Tabitha and Shane but given the prior abuse we are really concerned for Shane's saftey and well being. The police are looking for Shane's father and Shane but they can only do so much until the lawyers get their paperwork filled out. For now all we can do is put up posters we made with Shane's pictures and pray that God returns him safe to us. I just got home from hours of posting pictures and I'm driving myself into the poor house just trying to help my sister get her son back. I've also contacted my local representatives in the state senate who are talking to me to see what, if any, laws they could change to make this easier on parents in future simular situations. Anyhow I'm going to post the information and picture of Shane below along with some contact information Please pray for Shane's safe return and for strength for my sister and the rest of the family to pull through this trying time. Also please watch for Shane and contact the proper authorities if you see him anywhere. We all live in the state of Indiana but Shane's father has family all across the country and we fear that he has fled the state in an attempt to keep Shane from his mother. The most likely places we think he would be is Tennesee, Florida, Indiana, or Texas.

I'm so sorry about the nightmare you guys must be going through Rob. I will be praying about this terrible situation, and that Shane is immediately returned home safe and sound.
I will go and pray right now and continue to pray until you say otherwise...Please keep us updated.

Thank you both, and yes you may forward to anyone you like as the more people who see his picture the more likely someone sees him and calls the police. Thank you again for the prayers.

We beseech of thee to bring Shane home safely and immediately. Protect him from harm and guide him through this ordeal. May a gaggle of guardian angels surround him. Be with and give thy strength and comfort unto his family as the struggle to sope with his absence. Bless him and all invloved abundantly. Help them in turn to be a blessing unto others.

Im sorry that you have to go through a nightmare like this but i will definety be praying for shanes safe return and also praying that god will grant you and your family peace. your all in my thoughts and prayers ttyl.
 
Thank you all for your prayers. I have always believed that God answers prayer and I will keep on praying no matter what happens. It's times like these that bring me closer to God so at least there is a good side to it. My sister and mother asked me to thank everyone for all the prayers as well. I will keep everyone informed if the situation changes, right now all we can do is put up posters and pray. The police have been trying but have not been able to do much up until now, hopefully that changes in the next couple of days if my sisters lawyer ever gets the proper paperwork filed. I do know this much, regardless of what happens God will be watching out for Shane and that gives me some comfort.
 
My thoughts & Prayers are .........

with you & your Family & with Shane & his Dad. May God Keep his Dad from Harming Shane in any way & May he be safely returned to your sister & Family- In Jesus Name I pray!!

Just an update, I just got a call from my mother. She is heading down with my sister to Lousville KY to pick up Shane from the police. He was found and as far as I know okay. I will know more later as to if he has been harmed or not but the important part is I know he's alive and my sister will be getting him back in a couple hours Very Happy I want to give a big thank you to everyone who helped, prayed, or just kept their eyes open.

They said they don't post Amber Alerts for children who have been abducted by parents unless they have a reason to believe the child could be in serious harm. To them serious harm seems to be if the parent has killed someone before taking the child. There are some serious flaws in the legal system when it comes to this sort of thing, at least here in Indiana. Anyhow Shane will be back soon, I'll post back and let everyone know if he is okay, I'm praying he is.
