As always, God is faithful to us and has provided that Steve work much, much closer to home. The good news on this is the usual; less money spent on gas, more time to spend as a family.

The bad news is that his current client's mother is a Satanist. Steve will only be in their home in a professional capacity and they are strictly forbidden by the contracts to discuss religion at all. But, nonetheless, as his wife, I'm more than a bit concerned about him having to deal with an avowed Satanist who has an altar to Satan in the living room.

Also, the client is 17 years old and is physically as large as Steve. He does have severe behavioral issues and has attacked other therapists in the past. It could very well be that the behavioral problems and his mother's religion are tied in with each other. Or not as the case may be. Steve has dealt with a number of serious behavioral problems, so far all his clients have responded quite well under his firm, consistant and patient therapy, and none of them have been demonic in nature. But, this might be a different story.

Again, he is forbidden to mention religion in any capacity whatsoever, and would not have known about the Satanism had it not been for the altar dedicated to Satan in the living room. However, there is no prohibition for him to pray for his clients (as long as he doesn't discuss his prayers with them) nor for us to pray for them as well.

My specific prayer for Steve with this situation is that God would graciously grant Steve any special insight he might need regarding any demonic activity and also keep him physically safe.

I bet that is a bit spooky.

Dear Lord

Please protect Steve in this work, as he seeks to help a man in need. Protect him both Physically and Spiritually, and work through him in the life of this patient and this family he will impact. Ease any fear in his family as well.

In Christ's Name,
Amen

Handy~

It seems your basket is full of trials just now dear girl, but do not fret. Waves come in sets like some trials do but God has ordained their boundaries. It is also true that your Heavenly Father has a boundary established for your hubby's safety as his witness spills over the life of this captive of Satan.

Father in Heaven~ May Your mighty guarding love be a hedge of protection for Steve while he works with this young man. Open wide the door of his heart and mind and release him from the grip of the evil one while Steve is with him. Break down all his fleshly resistance to the truth. Draw him to Yourself Father, and pierce his heart with a true and glorious witness in Steve's life that You have worked.

Deliver him from the kingdom of darkness into the lpve of Your Son Jesus Christ. May You recieve glory and honor and praise forever more. In Jesus Awesome name, amen.

Handy,

Thank God for Steve's new job, and the opportunity to be a light in his conduct. I know the Lord will keep him, and I am positive it is not a mistake that he has this client.

The Lord bless you.

Amen Handy!! I ask for Gods' divine protection over Steve and his clients and also for you & your family. May He protect all of you daily. I'm sure to that God means for Steve to be there and I will pray for Gods' will to come to pass through this situation. God is wise, wonderful, loving and all-knowing!! :-D Sending hugs-

Just an update to this prayer request.

Steve has very strict guidelines on what he may and may not speak to the parents of clients about. There was something about this clients home situation that Steve, rather than speak to the mother about, reported to the social worker in charge of the case, as per company (and State of Idaho) guidelines. The mother became very angry that Steve spoke to the social worker regarding the issue rather than to her and she's pulled her son from the program.

So, for now Steve is back commuting to the town further away from our house, however they are getting paperwork on a new client that will be closer to us for the school year. I do feel badly for the boy and hope that perhaps the mother will see reason and not expect workers to violate State law and company policy and will enroll him in the program again, because Steve said they were making some very good progress together.

I guess it's all in the Lords' hand now, Dora. I pray that the Lord put Steve in a situation where he can bless and serve and bring glory to the Lord. God bless you today.

I'm praying that God opens doors in this situation for blessings for the Mother & son and for Steve to. Gods' always in control . Hugs & blessings to all of you Dora.

We have similar confidentiality rules here in NJ. I'm not so sure how I feel about them sometimes. :-?

Aren't those guidelines to protect the agency & the case workers as well as the families? I don't know that much about guide lines for situations like this. It would be REALLY hard for me as a case worker NOT to say something along the lines about leading these folks to Jesus-regardless of what the mothers' beliefs are. I pray that God reaches out to them & opens their hearts and minds to Him, so that they can see what a loving relationship they can have with our Lord.

Maybe so Rosalee. I was thinking in terms of something the minor may have said that couldn't be repeated to the parents because of confidentiality. I don't know if this is what Dora was referring to in her post.
