Hello all. I am asking for prayer on behalf of my sister and her family. Her husband has been out of work for a while now, and they are facing having to sell their home. Their phones were cut off this week, and they have two toddlers and an 8 year old. They are trusting that the Lord will provide for them, and he has through their church to some extent, but their situation has really worsened this week and they need provision soon. Please pray that her husband will be able to trust God, as he is very stressed, and that my sister will be able to encourage him.

Thank you,

I pray that the Lord shows them His plan and that they keep their trust in Him and His will for their lives.

Amen

That is hard especially with young children as they can pick up on stress. I will pray it will be resolved but more importantly that their faith will grow at this time and be a witness to others around them that they see the faith they have and ask about it.

Thank you both. Prayer is an important tool for ministering to brothers and sisters we may never meet in this lifetime, and it is a big encouragement when you know that people are praying for you.

Caroline,

I am praying for them tonight. God is so good to provide, but I have found that He provides just for the day at times. When He doesn't, and we are faced with enduring painful trials, He is working His good will faithfully. The book of Esther comes to my mind when I think of How He works things out...God worked behind the scenes, and what a faith builder! The Lord bless you and them.

Being without phone service with three children is tough in case of emergencies. First off, I'd pray that someone could get them one of those inexpensive, pay as you go cell phones, you know, the ones where you buy refill minutes as needed.

I pray that ultimately work is in the very near future so that all needs are filled. Ask for all in Jesus' name. :praying

Just hoping the situation is resolved soon, I am keep checking in here to see how God is providing and what is happening as that situation is hard.

Again, thank you everyone.

About the phone, my mother has given them her cell phone to use until their situation improves so they are covered there in case they need it. As of yet there is no change, but we'll see what the Lord does in the coming week...He has never let any of us down before and I know for a fact that He never will. :)

Oh my.....

They shall surely be in my thoughts and prayers. This is truly a testing and trying time for our country. Patience, faith, and courage in our Lord likely will be the best form of ammunition to carry in such difficult times as these. For Satan does indeed throw anything he can in which to cripple those who seek to walk in faith.

May God Bless You

Danielle

Keeping all of you in my thoughts and :praying for Gods' will in this situation. May you be blessed and soon. God is Faithful, He will never leave you. Keep your faith. :amen

Hello Caroline, :wave

Every man and woman of God at times walks thru these kind of trials, where as they trust in God He allows further testing~ for He is working a deeper faith into them. I believe they will find that His faithfulness is true and constant, and that His grace is very real.

I have been studying the widow of Zeriphath in 1 Kings 17, her tiny obediance to feed Elijah first each day, became her entire provison. God did not fill up the bin of flour and the jar of oil~ but He kept refilling it~ to satisfy the amount they needed for each day. All she had to do was be willing to make the bread, and give a portion to the Lord's prophet. This is like what your sister and brother-in-law have experienced, and my youngest daughter and her hubby too. The Lord's provision is refilled each day as they seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. :thumb

Here is the extended testing... while the widow had been faithful, suddenly her son became ill and died! Yet, Elijah took him to his bed chamber (no big show) and prayed three times for the Lord to restore his life, and God did. Even in her obediance the widow was tested further, but God was faithful, and she became a strong witness of His ways. :yes

Remember when the disciples were obediantly rowing toward the place where Jesus had told them to go that a fierce storm assailed their little ship? They were sinking, the boat was breaking up, when Jesus came to them, walking on the water. And Peter was given the opportunity to step out in unsinkable faith! He did at first, and when he took his eyes off Jesus, he sank like a rock. But a single cry put the Lord's hand in his once again.

We must keep our eyes fixed on our Lord, He will attend to our needs, because His love is a Fathers love, caring and nurturing, and sometimes allowing us to walk thru the thorns, so we will learn to wear our armor. :salute

Father in heaven,

I thank You for Your constant love and for all You have provided for this precious family by Your gracious hand. I come to You alone, for who have we in heaven or in earth except You to save us? Please put Your courage into this young father Lord, and grant him the wisdom and faith he needs each day by Your word~ to endure and be the guide of those depending on him. May he grow in the grace and knowledge of You Lord, and may he become a witness of Your great provision.

Father, I ask for this young mother, that she will work to accomplish whatever you put in her hand to do. That she wil be comforted and strengthened as she watches her family lean on You for everything. Grant her words of powerful encouragement and loving grace for her husband as he stands trusting in Your ways. In Jesus mighty name I ask, for Your glory alone. :amen
