Long story short, we have been fighting depression and anxiety for several years. She has a hard time trusting because of some of the things that happened to her while growing up. Part of the problem is she is a control freak and having a problem with some health issues. Need prayer for her to put her 100% trust and faith in Jesus.

Yesterday my wife and I heard a good sermon from Philippians 4. The themes of peace and joy in a Christian home are certainly valuable and worth meditating on prayerfully.

Dear Father, You alone know the depths of the problems that plague this dear couple, but as with all things thought impossible You have given us the balm in Gilead that heals, and that is Christ Jesus. Please return the joy of this couple's salvation through a renewed faith established through the word of God. Give them the courage to contend for the faith delivered unto them and establish footholds against the enemy that would destroy their marriage. Give them the peace that passes understanding, and a love for one another that can weather the storms they meet, and I thank You Father in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

May I suggest the two of you sharing special time set aside just for the 2 of you ... perhaps a half hour or so before it's time to call the day 'closed'. Read a Psalm aloud together each evening/time ... discuss what you've read or no, your choice ... It is amazing how calming yet awe-inspiring Psalms are.

I used the wrong words in the original post, she is the one with depresion and anxiety. I used we as both of us are dealing with the problems. All prayer is greatly appreciated.
