no. with Justin leaving and others that have come and gone its part of the reason and also that its meant to have people rotate. only dan and greg and tom, know all 93 routes. I only know about 35 of them. others have been moved as well. I asked to be taken off the mall route. I have been on that for almost two years.Hey brother, is there some reason they continue moving you to new routes? Does it involve pay increases? It appears they have a lot of confidence in your ability; is there a promotion in order?
I wish but the new route for me as I have been told will be easier then the mall route. perhaps a noon route or earlier.Everything falls to the guy who can do it. Still sounds like a raise may be in order, lol.
no, tom, dan and myself usually are the one that tom has train nowadays. greg has shown routes a time or two and even Justin. its mostly dan and greg. this is done to ensure the newbies are trained right. Justin is leaving so mike and myself will get some of his routes. I have done trillium, donught shop/high school route and one other that Justin took from me.Did they kick you any extra for training the new guy? (They should)
I work less when I show anyone. they do the work, I merely make sure they are going in the right direction and also read the meters right.and above all finish the route no mater what.
oh tom notices, I know that he would likely work for a rate increase if the garage wanted to hire me back. which I know if one of the other techs left they would if I was qualified ask me first.tom has told the fleet manager that if there was any position that was to open there that I wouldn't take it.Understood. But it's still worth money. You signed on as a meter reader and not an instructor, am I right?
I understand wanting to rise to it without being persnickity, but you never know. I did this at one company, and half jokingly asked them if I got anything for training the man...lo and behold, there was a training allowance for this so they cut me in. Never hurts to ask.
