Good post Ivanm. As a matter of fact, someone else has brought up the temple plans on another Christian forum and I pointed out the same Thessalonian passage that you did, and how this relates to end times.

I was aware of the Temple Institute web site for quite some time now and have been giving out that site's name whenever the subject of the Temple is brought up.

BTW, what do you think of all the hardware they used to fasten the menorah to the frame when it was moved? I have to chuckle seeing a modern day technique applied to something that is reconstructed from something so old. I could imagine the Israelites in the OT. Can you see Solomon asking where is socket wrench set was located?

If Tuvia Sagiv is correct and the Temple is at a southern conjecture then the Temple could be built right next to the Dome of the Rock and there is nothing the arabs could do about it.

If Tuvia Sagiv is correct and the Temple is at a southern conjecture then the Temple could be built right next to the Dome of the Rock and there is nothing the arabs could do about it.

Except start WW 3. The Arabs will never stand by while the Jews build a Temple on the temple mound,they refuse to acknowledge that Israel ever had a temple there. I will be surprised if the temple idea ever actually occurs. Yes Revelation does mention a Temple where the "outer court"is given to the gentiles for 42 months(that could be symbolic)also Paul spoke of a temple but he described the dwelling place of God and not the building. And the biggest problem of all, it is simply not possible for Christ rejecting Jews to build an actual Temple of God that would fit the definition of Revelation and 2Thess. Both of the other Temples were built by Jews in the will of God and under direction from God. Is God going to direct Christ rejecting Jews to build Him a Temple?? Who knows how this will turn out, but I would not hold my breath waiting on the third temple,two many problems.

I agree with you, seriously, and they will start sacrificing animals again? Highly doubt it. We are the temple these scriptures are referring to. First the physical and now spiritual.

Yes, I agree, in theory, but in reality those who follow Islam will indeed protest. This will make things on the brink of war. This is why the beast will ride in on a white horse (Revelation 6) and seemingly bring peace and a covenant with Israel specified in Daniel 9. Then the Jews will sacrifice for awhile until that abomination thing takes place and the wars mentioned in the bible take place during the Tribulation.
