Once Upon A Time

I was a Christian.....
I spoke the Word and I acted it out, big time.....
Then the future held me in place,,,
The past was gone, the present was here, and the future, well. the future held me in place...
What is the future?
Will we ever know?
Only when it is present, and no longer future

How can we know the future?
Can we ever?
Can we deceive ourselves into thinking we know what will happen next?
Why would we do that?
Do we need to know what happens next to be happy?

What does the future hold for us?
Do we die?
Do we live?
Do we have a future worth discussing?
Will we cry to sleep forever?
Will we have something that others will never have?
Will Jesus give us what we cannot comprehend?
Or even more?

I've heard of a cosmic entity that gives us quality of life beyond our present comprehension.
And then we create in our minds what is beyond every thought we've ever had.
