When persons are spoken to on the subject of health, they often say: "We know a great deal better than we do."

They do not realize that they are accountable for every ray of light in regard to their physical well-being, and that their every habit is open to the inspection of God.

Physical life is not to be treated in a haphazard manner. Every organ, every fiber of the being, is to be sacredly guarded from harmful practices.

Diet

Our habits of eating and drinking show whether we are of the world or among the number whom the Lord by His mighty cleaver of truth has separated from the world.

These are His peculiar people, zealous of good works.
God has spoken in His word.
In the case of Daniel and his three companions there are sermons upon health reform.

God has spoken in the history of the children of Israel, from whom for their good He sought to withhold a flesh diet. He fed them with bread from heaven; "man did eat angel's food."

But they encouraged their earthly appetite; and the more they centered their thoughts upon the fleshpots of Egypt, the more they hated the food which God gave them to keep them in health physically, mentally, and morally.
They longed for the fleshpots, and in this they did just as many in our own time have done.

Many are suffering, and many are going into the grave, because of the indulgence of appetite.
They eat what suits their perverted taste, thus weakening the digestive organs and injuring their power to assimilate the food that is to sustain life.

This brings on acute disease, and too often death follows.
The delicate organism of the body is worn out by the suicidal practices of those who ought to know better.

Death is inevitable no matter how perfect you think you can live. We are all shaped by the choices we make... but the road we each walk has already been layed out before us. We don't produce life, it produces us.

Not entirely true.....as those who are alive, when Jesus Christ comes again the 2nd time, will not see death.
Death is only promised to sinners, 'as the wages of sin is death'.

When Christ comes again, sinners will be destroyed, and the Righteous ( commandment-keeping people) will not see death, BUT will join Jesus Christ in the air, to be taken back to heaven, with HIM.

We are all shaped by the choices we make... but the road we each walk has already been layed out before us.
YES, the Bible is....the intruction book....point out the requirements for gaining eternal life.

In it is the blueprint on how to live a Christian life, whereby we can be assured of gaining eternal life...IF ...we follow the intructions....WORD FOR WORD.....

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We don't produce life, it produces us.
Gid is the ONLY SOURCE, from whence Life flows from !

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.

That is why sinners have NO ETERNAL LIFE.....because they cut themselves off....from the source of all life.

You are confusing the second death with human mortality. While I agree there will be a very small few that will not experience mortality (seperation of body and spirit)... when you compare that small number to all of those who've walked this earth and lived and died its pretty fair to say that death is inevitable. In your original post you spoke of the human diet... which does play a role in our health and well being. Life was designed by God to shape and mold us as human beings. Those life paths are uniquely designed for every individual. We all have a destiny to fullfill, and like magnets it draws us unknowingly towards it.

Yes, God destined us to be Holy People, obeying all 10 commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), out of LOVE, for both Man and God, which is what the 10 commandments are based upon.

Christians are show the world, what Righteous living really is.....as set forth by Jesus Christ, who is our example, to follow, in both word and action.

and there's a real good neat fun book out for a while called "Moses wasn't fat" (and no diabetes, no migraines, no cancer,
no high blood pressure, no arthritis(well, sort of), pretty much no disease! and why) (like the united states before 1922, not a perfect example, but a very good one - one out of one hundred needed medicine in 1902..... the profit-mongers got together with their lobbyists (at the time I don't know what they were called, or if it was the politicians and business men themselves)
and planned americans diet downfall to increase profits from selling medicine to more people - even to 'everyone' if possible.!!!!
