"Human societies rapidly descend into anarchy and chaos without policing. Now, researchers have found that the same thing happens when groups of monkeys are left to their own devices instead of being “policed†by dominant males.

It was already well known that in groups of pigtailed macaques (Macaca nemestrina), dominant males keep the rest in order through a form of policing. As they patrol the herd, they frequently receive peaceful “bared teeth†signals from other, subordinate monkeys, acknowledging that the dominant male is in charge. The “police†macaques often intervene to defuse scuffles before they can escalate."

I wonder if they have a set of stone tablets as well that tells them how they should behave.

While your article is interesting, your disrespectfully snide comment isn't.

And who polices all the animals? :o

The difference is that if they did have stone tablets on how to behave, they couldn't comply. But humans can because we're supposed to have reason, something animals don't have. But unfortunately, the behavior of animals seems more appealing to some humans than the stone tablets which they are capable of understanding. Therefore, we are without excuse. :-)

Again an obvious reply to one who has not read the article. The answer to your question is THEY do. The point of the article is that it is commonly claimed that without a God and his direction societies would become anarchistic to the max and destroy itself. This article proves otherwise. Try harder next time.
