Hello, all. I had to share this. One; because I am so overwhelmingly happy and grateful, and Two; to offer encouragement for those still in prayer, waiting for the Lord to deliver them. Don't give up! It is coming!
A few months ago, I had fallen behind on a particular payment, and my wages began being garnished. I had already stopped said garnishment once a little over four years ago, and so the courts refused to even let me fill out the paperwork to try once more, telling me right out it would be a waste of my time and money. I called the attorney's office to speak with one of their lawyers, and my request to end the garnishment was refused. This led to a substantial crisis within our home, as we have three children (7, 2, and 5 months), and my income was reduced overnight by 30%. Things were tight already as it was. With this event, they were given a violent shove into impossible.
My wife began working, which helped, but not nearly enough; and we were right back to square one a month ago when she lost her job. We spent sleepless nights praying, worrying, and crying because we knew we had no idea where money for all the bills was going to come from, let alone allowing us to give our children anything at all under the tree Christmas morning. I know that's not really important, and definitely not what Christmas is about, but in all honesty it hurt me as a man to know I had no way of doing that for my children this year.
We remained in prayer constantly for deliverance from this trouble for months, and within the last week and a half, the Lord has dumped such an abundance of blessings into our laps that we're still frankly shocked.
1.) Thanks to various family members who did so without being asked (they literally called one day and just said, "We're doing this for you"), not only did our bills get paid, but we were able to get gifts for the children.
2.) I interviewed for a job at the Nissan plant in Smyrna, TN just this past Tuesday morning, and I got the job. I begin training January 4th, and will be in place at my new job by the first week of February. My new job brings a pay increase of $3/hr (which is a lot at my house), and the potential for much more over time.
3.) I felt compelled to call the attorney's office one more time yesterday, so I obeyed. Now, not only has that garnishment been stopped, but they are also sending me the last check the attorney was set to receive, and it will be in my hands tomorrow morning.
Again, I have to tell you, DON'T GIVE UP!!! The Lord DOES hear your prayers, and He WILL most assuredly answer them. Remain in prayer, remain steadfast, and when your prayer is answered, give the glory to God and remain grateful. It's not easy to keep despair and negative thoughts away from your door, but it is possible, and the Lord will help you with that, too.
May the Lord bless you all and speed your deliverance out of your adverse circumstances. In Jesus' name! Amen!
