Pete Rose in my opinion deserves a second chance. He may have been wrong but look at all the steroid users and other sports figures who have had second chances' Mike Vick being one of them. I think that it is crazy to want to keep punishing this man like this. He did not kill anybody.

Pete Rose sits on stage Sunday, March 30, 2014, and tells baseball stories at Christ's Church of the Valley as part of teh church's program on second chances. Pete Rose, banned from Major League Baseball for gambling, appears at Christ's Church of the Valley in Royersford to talk about how everyone deserves a second chance.

He was an amazing ball player and should have been recognized as such for the merits of his talents, not for what he did later.

Like Babe Ruth was saint... sosa bonds mcgire did much more harm to baseball

So true. Sosa, Bonds, A Rod...the list is rather lengthy of players who have disgraced the game. Yet, each are held in varying degrees of honor within the ranks.

Remember back a couple of decades, when MLB decided to ban Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays from their ranks? Both were, by then, retired, and both received lucrative contracts to promote separate casinos. It didn't take all that many years before MLB reversed their decision (due to a new commissioner) and then both Mantle & Mays were back in good graces.

Mantle too? huh... The game is becoming less human.. i dont want the reply stuff and i can see the umps are not always right .. to me they are part of the game... like the bumpers on a pool table or the football guys with the chains...opps off topic and i cant blame Jasonc

I'm just thankful that Pete Rose has turned his life around and now can give our Lord the praises that He deserves.

Wow Pete Rose is serving the Lord....:woot2 I will have to give the video a listen... i figured it was just a positive thinking thing...

He's still a seeker, but appears to be moving closer to a personal relationship with our Lord. His attitude towards faith continues to be adjusted... our Lord has plans for him.
