As our family faces the major decision of whether or not to leave our current place of fellowship we are also dealing with long-term trials.
We are in urgent need of employment as well as housing as we have been transitioning out of 14 months of homelessness for 2 years now (the current economic woes don't help at all) and experienced major setbacks when my husband became deathly ill while ministering amongst the homeless and was hospitalized last year. He finished a training program to make a career change (not easy in your mid-forties) in August but has not found employment yet. His prospects are better than mine as I have been a homemaker for 10 years now training and homeschooling our children.
Our housing assistance ended October 31 and although we know God has a way prepared for us, we really need to be in tune with the Holy Spirit, in one accord and to not make panic-stricken decisions. As I've shared in the advice forum, we have also been dealing with issues at our local church which have been more hurtful than the concerns I've mentioned above...

Thanking the Lord and my brethren in advance for your love and kindness.

I'm praying for your family Achsahs Asking.

One of my favourite passages is Matthew 6:25-34. I'm sure you know it well, but I encourage you to read it again and rest in God's provision ;-)

Achsahs Asking~

Thank you for your honest witness of your circumstances, it is good to have a forum where one can open up and share things that sometimes - in our fellowship we may not be so blessed to feel at ease to do. This is certainly a great part of the ministry here at CF.

I also thank our Father in heaven for your continued faith in Him thru these struggles and afflictions, may He use every moment of these difficulties to work a powerful trust into each member of your family, and bring everlasting honor to His name as you "fill up the afflictions of Christ". 8-)

May our Father open up certain opportunities of employment, as He poured out rain from His windows of heaven- may He pour into your laps grace upon grace now. Father, grant physical strength and strong direction thru Your word for this family, and make them able to bear all to You~ unburdening their hearts continually, being held close to You.

I pray for the Lord to bind the enemy and to loose His Holy Spirit to minister comfort, direction, and the marvelous working of hope deep into your hearts. May He heal what is broken in your precious hearts, and make you His reconcillers. May He daily fix your eyes upon Him, and cause you to be strengthened in His answers to each of Your requests, and quickly, dear Father. :-)

May Christ Jesus be made known to those in darkness by the working out of your salvation most of all, for in His name we ask. and all our answers to our Lord are yes, and amen. bonnie

God be with you. He will not put on us more than we can bear. Will continue to remember you in our prayers.
