Your words surf through time and distil upon paper,
Like the blessing of rain upon the faces of nature.
Encompassing our lives like the seas to the islands,
Bestilled for the meek but a flood for the tyrants.
Your Word’s a blazing lamp, I see its burns in our past,
Flames chewing up the kindling we hide in our hearts.
Like heat from the sun giving growth to the seed,
And the fire for a frozen man lost in his need.

Rebirth

You writhe
Till you die.
You pray
Till you lay.
In God's loving arms
Awaiting new dawns.
When you feel
Till you heal
And grow
Till you know
The gain
From your pain
The new
That comes from the old.

Thank You Jesus

You gave me life,
And nurtured my soul.
You prayed for me,
Till I was whole.

You cried for me,
When I felt pain;
Your tears soothed my sorrow
Like life-giving rain.

I treated you badly,
My anger unfurled.
You always forgave me,
Despite all I hurled.

Now I've found peace,
My spirit is free.
I praise you Lord Jesus,
For loving me.

For I know what a burden,
I had to have been.
I know how you've loved me
Despite all my sins.

And now that I've blossomed,
I just wanted to say:
Thanks for your patience
Day after day.
