Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

Doesn't "expecting the unexpected" make the unexpected expected?

Why is it called "after dark" when it really is "after light"?

If a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know?

How come abbreviated is such a long word?

Does it scare you a little that your Doctor calls what he does "practice"?

Or that the man who invests your money is called a "broker"?

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why is it called "lipstick" if you can still move your lips?

Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?

Why do we leave our cars, worth thousands of dollars, in the driveway and fill up our garages with worthless junk and lock it up?

Why do drive-up ATM's have braille writing?

Is the Atheist Alliance International a non-prophet organization?

If a parsley farmer gets sued, do they garnish his wages?

Why do people order a double cheeseburger, super size fries and a Diet Coke?

Why is it called "tourist season" if no one shoots them?
