Do you think we have the ability to create our own reality by the confession of our lips?

Do WE have some sort of ability? Or is it simply a truth that Jesus told us actually exists in the spiritual realm?

Good question.
Any Scripture that says one way or the other?

I am not totally sure what you are asking.
For instance, can you pray a healing upon yourself in the name of Jesus and expect to get it?
Can you claim wealth upon yourself by giving?

If you ask Jesus to put His healing hand on you He might answer your prayer.For His grace.The answer might be what you want but it may not.Faith in the answer here.

So, if I don't get the healing, are you saying I don't have enough faith?

I believe God always answers prayer... some times.... He says not now... or you really dont want that ......wait and see...... Be still and know that i am God... No.... etc....

This sounds like the new "prosperity gospel" to me. I don't believe that is from God. At least not in the sense of those preachers that promise you all sorts of wealth and blessings if you give them all your hard earned money.

No,I am not saying you do not have enough faith, I am saying that it is God's will if He heals you or not.God has a plan for each one of us.It may be within His plan to heal you or it may not.The faith comes in with our faith that our lives are in His hands and we have to trust Him.

Romans 4, somewhere around 17 or 18.
Then we have several other verses... "Telling a mountain to move"... "asking anything in God's name, and it will be done".... "giving us the desires of our hearts".... and the list could probably go on for several paragraphs. For instance, Jesus telling many that He healed, that their faith was the trigger.

Really, a whole lot of places all through the Bible.

Now, I am assuming you are not playing games, and asking if we can abracadabra a Mercedes Benz into our garage, but are instead serious in wanting to know if God will back our stand for Him in faith.

Exactly.... :yes

The OP is worded exactly the way I wanted it to be worded.
I want to know what people think about it as people can be led in different directions with it.

Wouldn't it be self-defeating and a little ridiculous to pray for healing, and NOT expect to get it?

Your typical "money" question... The Bible says to give, and it will be given to you. Did it mention giving some money? I think Jesus said to give that coin with Obama's head on it, back to Obama. He said to give the things of God to God................... and THOSE things, you CAN expect to see come back to bless you.

Money? TRASH. Give a hundred bucks to feed some kids, and perhaps a child will one day hug you, or cry at your grave.... all worth far more than money.

I'm not. Are you?

That is why many turn away from God.They have lost a loved one.They are asking God....why?How can you allow this to happen?...or they have an illness and they pray day after day for healing and they do not get it.God's Will Be Done.You just have to know that your Father in heaven knows best.There is a reason for everything that happens in your life.

Rom 10:6 and the righteousness of faith doth thus speak: `Thou mayest not say in thine heart, Who shall go up to the heaven,' that is, Christ to bring down?
Rom 10:7 or, `Who shall go down to the abyss,' that is, Christ out of the dead to bring up.
Rom 10:8 But what doth it say? `Nigh thee is the saying--in thy mouth, and in thy heart:' that is, the saying of the faith, that we preach;
Rom 10:9 that if thou mayest confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and mayest believe in thy heart that God did raise him out of the dead, thou shalt be saved,
Rom 10:10 for with the heart doth one believe to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;

Deu 30:11 `For this command which I am commanding thee to-day, it is not too wonderful for thee, nor is it far off.
Deu 30:12 It is not in the heavens, --saying, Who doth go up for us into the heavens, and doth take it for us, and doth cause us to hear it--that we may do it.
Deu 30:13 And it is not beyond the sea, --saying, Who doth pass over for us beyond the sea, and doth take it for us, and doth cause us to hear it--that we may do it?
Deu 30:14 For very near unto thee is the word, in thy mouth, and in thy heart--to do it.

Can one just confess with the mouth or must one also believe in the heart?

Jesus told the Father what His desire was but He said, Not My will Father but Thine.

Yep, and sometimes that reason is because we have made bad choices that were not in God's will.
