When I got off the train, I noticed to was cooling off quickly, so I decised to walk home, instead of spending the $7.00 for a cab. About 1/3 of the way, it started to get dark and cloudy and the first thing that came to mind was, "here I go again, walking straight into a storm". Story of my life. lol

First I started to hurry, then that little voice came over me saying "you will make it". At the same time, the lightning started. But I felt this overwhelming peace come over me and I returned to a normal pace.

Not 5 minutes after I got home, the skies opened up, the lightning got heavier and the thunder started big time. Man, God is good. Gave new meaning to the lyrics "I will praise you in the storm".

Now for the rest of the story...

About 3/4 of the way home, I was bombarded by a loose dog! At first I thought it was going to attack me, so I stood still and watched it's movements. I realized it was just a friendly dog running wild and jumping on me for attentiom. I stopped at the closest house, rang the doorbell and asked it this was their dog... it was.

With the dog back in the house, I started walking again. A nice man in a pickup stopped and said he turned around to see if I needed help. He thought the dog was attacking me. He was going to offer me a baseball bat! I don't think that was God's intentions, but the man's intentions were at least admirable. Not too many people stop to help another these days, so I praise God for that too.

GOD IS GOOD! Praise God.

Javs, it really happened to me this evening... I just tell it like a story. ;-)

I too like stories like this that show God working in our lives.

One day I was driving by a small hotel when I noticed a lady on a payphone. I did not think anything of her, but I was told to turn around and give her whatever money that I had in my pocket. I turned around, pulled up to her. She looked at me a little fearful when I told her that God had told me to turn around and give her some money. She began crying and told me that she was down and out and was calling around for some cash. She could not believe what was occurring. I was not led to do anything else, but I asked if we could pray together. We did, and I told her to check out a couple of Baptist churches in the area for assistence if she continued to need assistence. She thanked me and that was that.

Hey Vic!

I love hearing how God uses people to accomplish His will here on earth. I especially love hearing about obediences to that inner voice you heard. Praise God for that

Dear Heavenly Father

We give you all the praise and the glory for all the good we do in obedience to your calling. I thank You that Vic was obedient to Your voice and was so able to bless that woman and truly be a Light of Yours to her. I love Your ways Father God. I pray we all take heed to Your voice and not allow distractions or time crunches or anything at all to dissuade us from being obedient to You and what You would have us do in this life.

I Love you Lord! It is such an honor and blessing to serve You. I thank You for this chatsite and all the brothers and sisters in Christ who come here. be with them in all their days and may Your presence be felt in tangible ways, Your love in all circumstances Lord God. Bless us as we in obedience bless you.

In Jesus wonderful name we pray, Amen!
