For the last 3 weeks I have been slipping really badly, behaving badly, fulfilling the whole definition of "backslider." I had given up the good fight for a period and kept making excuses about going to church, and it really showed. After a heart to heart with my wife (thank God for her), I went to church tonight. Sparing the details, I have been totally revived. Things were really bad for about a month there, but right now all is well, my oil lamp is refilled and the wick is trimmed... I had a Holy Spirit visitation and He revived me again.

Amen brother! I happened to notice the scripture in your signature. That is my favorite verse. When I was about 10 years old I went somewhere with my dad to hear Steve Largent give his Christian testimony. He was a pro football player. I got a big poster of him with his autograph and 2 Chronicles 16:9 on it. All throughout my teenage years and early 20's I had that poster on the wall in my room and saw that verse almost everyday. The thing is, is that during years I rarely considered my heart to be fully committed to Him, yet there was the scripture that I needed right in front of me the whole time.

Thank you guys. All glory to God. I am just very thankful to have a Spirit-filled pastor who knows how to stir the waters. I am blessed to have found my church. The presence of the Lord was all over me as soon as I walked through the door. A good 25 people were convicted and ran to the altar and were revived. God is faithful!

That liar, the devil, had me feeling so low, like I should be too ashamed to go to church. I actually sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes picking at my fingernails feeling nervous, but I sucked it up and went on in there. Everyone received me. I was expecting head shakes and finger points lol.

jeff77 I only recently discovered this verse, but it has been running all over me so to speak. Once in awhile you'll read a verse and it'll just speak directly to your heart. Isn't it awesome?

Amen!

Praise God Blake! God is really proud of you! And always know that you are not the only one who misses it sometimes! We all do! And the sooner we run into His faithful everloving arms the better!

May the Lord richly bless you and your wife in abundance!
