I spoke on the air, on the David Allen Show, http://www.thedavidallenshow.com to this man, Brian Fleming, on Wednesday.
He claims he was born again, but, says, after he graduated from Christian school, he
rejected Christianity, Jesus, and God.
I spoke with Brian about his choices, asked him also what he hoped to accomplish with the release of this movie, and why he chose to reject Christianity after so many years.
From briefly talking to Brian, I discovered he despises Christianity, and his main goal is to cause as many as he can to reject the Holy Bible.
He calls Jesus a myth, and says the resurrection of Jesus is the same lie as the other fantastical stories different cultures made up, to explain things to their communities.
Pray that this man truly becomes born again, before the release of this terrible movie. This movie will do some wicked damage to every Christian on the face of this earth, in my opinion.
Here's a bit on Brian Fleming's upcoming movie, to be released on 6-6-06.
A movie whose purpose is to prove that Jesus Christ never existed and that demonizes Christian fundamentalists is scheduled to open on June 6, 2006 – that is, 06-06-06, the "666" biblical mark of the Beast.
Directed by Brian Flemming, who is described on the film's website as a "former fundamentalist Christian," "The Beast" promises to spread the theory he claims is "gaining credibility among scholars" – that Jesus was made up out of thin air.
Here's his blasphemous movie trailer: Centuries ago, a legend was invented. Forgery, fraud, coercion, wealth, greed, torture, murder, gave it the power. What if you learned the secret that could end it all? I am not afraid. I am not afraid.
Here's a discussion group I hope each of you joins. You might help save a soul.
The soul winner's crown.....how much is it worth to you? http://www.community.thebeastmovie.com/
A summary of the movie: http://www.thebeastmovie.com/about/index.html
The Beast is currently in pre-production.
The cast and crew are legally sworn to secrecy.
The theory that Jesus Christ never existed, while largely unknown to most lay Christians, is gaining credibility among scholars. Historians do not consider the Gospels to be historically accurate accounts. The authors of the Gospels, writing 40 to 90 years after the supposed life of Christ, never intended for their works to be read as biographies. There are no credible non-Christian references to Christ during the period in which he is said to have lived.
BEHIND THE MOVIE
The Beast is directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Brian Flemming. Flemming's work has been called "a parallel universe" by the BBC, "jaggedly imaginative" by the New York Times, and "immensely satisfying" by USA Today. The Fox News Channel dubbed him "a young Oliver Stone." Flemming won the New York Times Claiborne Pell Award for Original Vision for his groundbreaking feature film Nothing So Strange, which was released theatrically in 2003 and is currently distributed on DVD in more than 200 countries.
