[__ Prayer __] Pray for the Many Teachers Who are Being Layed Off.

Please pray for teachers across the nation and especially here in California. There are many Christian teachers who are a light in a very dark public school system who may and will lose their jobs. Many of us owe thousands of dollars for loans that enabled us to provide for our families while getting the education we needed. We have made many sacrifices in order to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of our students. In addition, some will lose their homes due to inability to make morgage payment and some will not have any medical benefits. I am obviously one of those teachers. I am a Prob 2 math/science teacher who has been pinkslipped. I have rescently been diagnosed with Hepatitus C and Cirhosis of the Liver. I am expected to need a liver transplant within the next three years. My platlet count is very low so I have had a difficult time finding a doctor who will treat me with interfuron because it can cause a brain bleed due to the severe drop in platelet count that occurs with the already low count. I was able to find a doctor at UCLA who will treat me, and I had planned on beginning treatment this summer. This would not buy me alot of time because of the severe damage already done; however, it certainly could buy me some. If I receive the final pink slip, I will not be able to do treatment. Please pray for the Lord's will in my circumstances above all. I trust that He knows best, and He certainly is ultimately in control. However, it is a very difficult burden to bear on top of the diagnosis. I am only 45 years old. God bless you all, and remember to be thankful for your health. Four Blessings~ :waving

It is a somewhat easier thing for me to pray for these laid off teachers, than to even begin to lift up your very honest cries over the great trials you are walking through personally. But my heart desires your help first so I will try, as our Lord leads. May He bless my prayers for you by His powerful Holy Spirit's gracious guidance that I may pray in the will of our heavenly Father, rather than my own feeble ideas or desires.

Ah Lord God, Awesome in power, and marvelous in Mercy!

Your word tells us; Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, Psalms 33:18 and Psalms 57:11 For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds. :D I love that the Lord’s mercy is always greater, for after all it is our greatest requirement of Him. :yes

He is watching over you dear sister, His eye is on those who fear Him. Though this is often difficult to understand, His desires are for your very best in this.

He has entrusted you with an affliction, to bear before the world around you, in a time when most people are least able to admit their own realities. You are a beacon of truth and a humbled witness. How can anyone deny such evidence? there is nothing like a living testimony... I only pray that your witness for Jesus’ Cross and perfect Forgiveness will be purified and sharpened into a crystal clear point. :nod

In the heart of comfort… May the cross of Christ be before you when you weep. May His bent heart over your bowed head be remembered each time you faint. May His powerful Love surround and take hold of your heart by faith as fears and doubts assail you. And may His loving hands gently guide your feet and make your way smooth. That you may come out onto the firm and steady path which is growing brighter with every step you take beside Him... finally, rejoicing!

Oh Jesus~ dear Jesus~ let this saint know Your sure hand of help, Your lovely face before her, and Your faithful presence. For the glory of God the Father~ by the agent of His Holy Spirit~ and in the grace of the cross of Christ I ask. Amen.

Last a tiny reminder... the sandlewood tree perfumes the axe as it cuts deeply into its wooden side. Surely, our Lord Jesus was a fragrance devine as men afflicted and tortured His poor body. May you grow into this grace and be a sweet fragrance of Jesus to every soul around you. :shades
