Hey there all, I have a serious prayer request. Please pray for my mom, Dana. She has been having it very rough, as I'll explain in a moment, and she needs as much support as possible. If you can relate at all to her story, please pray for her.

She married my father at 26 and all seemed well. However, he began to cheat on her, ruining a fourteen year relationship that lasted high school, college, and military careers. She was heartbroken and devastated and it took several years to even come close to recovering.

Then she met my stepdad, who married her soon afterwards. Their relationship seemed stronger than her and my father's, and I thought all was going to be alright (I had tried, however, to be the 'man of the house,' but I let him in knowing I couldn't help her alone. I mean, a ten year old can only do so much). Six years passed before she found out that he, a perfectly sane, Christian man, felt that he was a woman on the inside and divorced her to become one. At this point, she was shattered. Her two best friends consecutively had given up on her, and now 16, I took on full responsibility of caring for her. So far, college has been the biggest barrier of that.

Recently she tried an online dating service to try to get back out there to meet some nice guys. One stole her money. One called her fat and would not date her.

She feels hopeless, like she's a failure not just in relationships but at life in general, and I'm at the point of not being able to do or say anything other than to pray constantly for God's guidance and help. The man who conned her out of money set her back severely, and already working two jobs, it's going to take her a long time before she'll be on her feet financially again. I ask you just to pray, out of the kindness of your hearts, that God will give her the strength to pick up everyday and keep on going, for her kids and herself. Pray for me as well (Adam), that He'll keep me able to do what I can for her. Thank you guys so very very much and God bless you all.

Greetings Adam!!

First of all, let me commend you on a well written post. I understand perfectly how your mother feels & I hope that she knows that God Loves her & is with her every moment of every day as well as with you!! May she be blessed with Gods' Love, comfort & support and may you also be blessed with Gods' Love, strength,(you have wisdom beyond your years)& mercy.
God Bless you both-

Know that you are in our prayers.....

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God's Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Fields of Grace,

I think that you are a very good son, and I am sure that your mother is very thankful for you. I was touched that you have offered up prayer for her here...beautiful. She has my prayers, and so do you. The Lord bless you.
