I'm taking part in a Q & A session with a youth group tomorrow. I know some of the questions but others will follow.

Please could you pray that I can answer these questions with the spirit of God and that they all take something from it.

My prayers are definitely with you, Grazer.

Please do have fun with the Q & A's ... especially the question about KFC. The teens should know that following our Lord God is a joyful experience...and not the gloom & doom that some think Christianity is all about.

Let us know how it turned out!

Thanks everyone :)

It went really well, everyone seemed to enjoy it and got a alot out of it :) I got a lot of confidence from doing it and learned a lot too :)

Thank you for doing the Q&A. Those kids need clear headed Christian answers, and, of course, being able to coherently explain to others what we believe is a true test of our faith, Very few young people - particularly those who have serious doubts - are going to be helped or convinced by a stock answer of "because the scriptures say so."

Thank you :) can I use your post in a blog I'm writing about it?

Excellent news, Grazer!

So....how did you answer the KFC question?

Prayers of blessings for you for doing our Lord's commission!

It was the first question I took on so I tried to be a bit funny with the answer to get everyone relaxed so I said he does and that if Jesus was to do communion today, he'd probably order in a couple of bargain buckets :)

It seemed to go down well :)

They've asked me back to go through the resurrection and the evidence for it :) This was something that they've asked for themselves :)

I got a month to plan it :)

Hilarious, Grazer! Good for you to know precisely how to break the proverbial ice!

Prayers have begun for the next session you'll face. It is very encouraging to see these teens are hungry for information about our Lord Jesus. This could be the start of an amazing ministry for you. Just remember, teens can be very discerning individuals ... if something doesn't sound exactly spot on to them, they'll call out an adult concerning it. At the same time, they can also be deep thinkers. Something said to them today might not be fully developed in their brains until some later point in time, but they'll get there! And in the process, they'll offer up quite the challenge to you as well.

Prayers for you, my friend ... and remember, we'll all here with encouragement for you!

Good for you!

I went to your blog, and like your post. :thumbsup

I particularly liked what you said about analogies, and how that made it easier for them to understand. Sounds a little like using parables, huh?
