They found a tumor on his brain, and a mass on his lung.
The biopsy of the lung tissue has been sent to a pathologist, so the results will still be a day or more in coming. The neurologist said the tumor in his brain, which is the size of a grape, is large enough and deep enough that he feels the need to do surgery to remove it. It is in a ventricle of the brain, which is a hollow cavity. This probably means the tumor is self-contained, so it has not and will not spread any further. He still wants to remove the tumor so it doesn’t affect anything else. A date could not be set in stone, but they are hoping for surgery possibly tomorrow or Friday.
Pastor is so appreciative of the calls, e-mails, and flowers. It is a great encouragement to him. He is also thankful for your love and prayers at this time. Please pray for his son Nathan and daughter-in-law Abigail as they travel here today/tomorrow to be with Pastor. And continue to pray for his family and that the tumor(s) will be benign! We serve a great God.
If you would like to send and e-mail, or an e-card you can send it to the church email: grace@gracebaptist-anderson.com
