I'm not going to debate anyone, just wanted to ask a question to the Roman Catholics on this forum.

I was wondering what it was that lead to Martin Luther being excommunicated.

If I am not mistaken, I think it was when he refused to accept Ecumenical Councililar decisions as infallible. After this point, Eck considered him "a pagan and a tax-collector.
