My wife's boss is a research scientist. My wife is her right hand...the two are inseparable as of the moment because the work my wife has done has propelled her boss to the top of the food chain for the scientific community.

So other universities have been trying to get her to continue this hot research (and millions of dollars in research grants) at their university.
Duke is really interested and likely will make an offer soon. (It's going to be a complicated offer and takes time to put an offer in place and time for a transition to happen)

I looked online of course and there is work for me there. Almost like here in middle TN...

Pay rates are higher there...@ $10 more per hour for the same work. No biggie.

But...
Which side of town can I afford?
Which part of town is the cheap side but not crime laden? (We got missions to fund)
Which side is growing?
Which side is deteriorating?
