Are you allowed to bring coffee in there? If I had a cup of coffee I'd love to spend hours reading in there.

Yep. There's a small area with hot coffee and snacks for sale on one end. Very nice on a cold winter day. My daughter goes to a nearby university, but her boyfriend goes here. His campus is really beautiful.
