Reasons for misunderstandings

Just an observation not accusing anyone here.

Our age is characterized by the unfruitful works of darkness:

(Mostly cos we don’t listen to the church founded by Christ to teach and sanctify all men unto eternal salvation Matt 28:19) (Christians must be taught matt 16:28-19 Matt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Lk 1:4 acts 8:31 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21 col 2:7)

False doctrine

Jn 8:32 “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”!

So false doctrine keeps us in bondage!

Exodus 23:33
They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

False doctrine has the vices and snares of the devils built in!

Jn 8:32 you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free!

So false doctrine keeps us in bondage!


Part of the problem is a single word has many meanings and may mean something very different to different folks.

“Redemption” “revelation” are examples



Instead of accusing each other let us examine ourselves and see if our motive is the virtues of Jesus Christ, humility, meekness & charity Matt 11:29 or the vices of pride, presumption, and arrogance.

Motives

Humility or pride?

Obedience or disobedience?

Meek or arrogance?

Submission to proper authority or protest / rebellion?

Receive instruction or presumption?

Let us not violate the golden rule or the eighth commandment by bearing false witness or the virtues of Jesus Christ especially that of charity and Honesty.


Example:

Quote from St. Augustine

Praise of Mary redounds to the glory of God in Jesus Christ cos He is the source of grace. Jn 1:16-17 Lk 1:49

Really? Worship of Mary is worship of Jesus?

When I never said a word about worship, this is very dishonest. You shall know them by their fruits.

Especially when I already declared the facts that Mary is not God, and only God may be lawfully worshipped.

And that praise, honor, and veneration are not worship, worship requires a priest offering adoration, sacrifice etc.

Scripture demands that we praise and exalt Mary!

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Praise of Mary does redound to the glory Christ, for she is not immaculate by nature but by His divine and powerful grace!

Other members read these post and are scandalized and their Pius ears are offended.

Please engage if you want but do so as an honest person who claims to be Christian or Christ-like.

The truth shall make you free, the opposite is also true: false doctrine shall keep you in bondage!


Misunderstandings

Example :

Christians are bound to believe both the “virgin birth” and that Joseph is the father of Jesus.

The Christian must practice the virtues of Jesus Christ and be endowed with gifts of spirit.

Wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, piety, fear of the Lord, and fortitude!

Virgin birth:

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

(Only God can be born of a virgin)

Joseph the father of Jesus:

Lk 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

Jn 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Luke 3:23
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

John 6:42
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

How can this be, can you understand it? Can you explain it?



Spiritual blindness!

Example of Saul:

Saul thought he was doing the will of God and acting righteously with correct faith!

But in reality was a spiritual tyrant!

Acts 9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

When the risen Christ appeared!

The blinding light of truth prevailed!

Scripture says Christians are to be of one mind and one heart having unity of faith!



Part of the problem is motives:

Are we acting from vices or the virtues of Jesus Christ?

Also what is faith?

Is it purely an emotion? If so then we only emote. Only have emotional responses.

If it is an intellectual ascent to a truth revealed by Christ and taught by holy mother church then we cannot have understanding without reason, thought, or thinking.

Emoting is much easier!

One man arguing from reason and logical conclusion cannot have unity and understanding with a man who only emotes!

Example:

Mary is the mother of God!

Any scripture, and reasonable arguments, and logical conclusion? No just emoting!

“God has no mother”!

A programed emotional reaction
Mary automatically means she is god, adored, & worshipped! Idolatry

So much so that someone created a new “fake” word for it!
Mary and idolatry and make a new word. Maryolatry!

Very dishonest and lacking the virtures of Jesus Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit!

Knowledge:

We don’t even agree to the meaning of these seven gifts or that they are the gifts of the Spirit

How can both be true?

God has no mother no source no beginning. God is uncreated and eternal!

So Mary IS NOT the source or mother of the divine nature.
Not the mother of the father or the spirit.

Jesus Christ is God, divine, uncreated and eternal!

Mary is His mother (relationship)
Mother of his entire person.
But not the source of His divinity.

So Mary is the mother of God!

What is says is not always what it means.

We must accept the apostolic churches teaching and the meaning meaning by the church founded by Christ. Doctrines are to be understood in that sense which the perpetual consent of the Catholic Church hath held and expressed it.

Truth must be revealed by God thru Christ to His church (the apostles Jude 1:3) then must be proposed by the church, (Matt 28:19 gal 3:23) without error by the Holy Spirit! (Jn 16:13) one faith (eph 4:5) the faith delivered to the apostles (Jude 1:3)

Otherwise we fall under the condemnation of scripture!

Yes. The fundamental idea in law is that if something is not prohibited, it is allowed.

Ark Noah free gift knowledge of salvation!

But they had to exercise their faith in obedience and build the ark, and cover it with pitch and gather the animals and food, God was faithful and sealed them in the ark, they were safe and secure as long as they remained in the ark.

Our salvation is also a free gift of God and His grace, but we also must exercise our faith in His revelation and obedience to His commandments, God is faithful to seal us in the ark of salvation and we will be in the new covenant ark of salvation safe and secure as long as we remain in the church obeying His commandments!
