Do Satan’s followers know they are following Satan—yielding to his temptations of pride, and so forth—or does Satan have then deceived into thinking they are doing the Lord’s will.

The reason I ask is that there are people who seem to be terribly prideful, but they call themselves Christians and seem to think they are doing the Lord’s will.

I would think that they are actually deceived. I am amazed when I see a bible teacher who practices honesty with the scriptures suddenly change to denial and manipulation in order to promote a particular issue and then after that issue is past go back into honesty with the other scriptures.
It is not the issue so much as that the person does not seem to be able to recognize that they moved from the practice of honesty and truthfulness into denial and manipulation. It is like a mind set that honesty is required except in the area of which the person disagrees with the bible and then denial and manipulation is accepted. It almost seems as if the person is god over the bible and accepts the parts desired and rejects the unwanted parts and also asserts that no wrong has been done.

Some do, some don't. But that's not an excuse, as long as you're not doing God's will, you're following Satan. God will be our judge.

And, .......Go on. :bounceball

Satan’s tempts everybody, including Christians.

Those Christians that give in to the temptation of pride then cause all sorts of pain in the Christian community.

Yes!

Some are literally Luciferians and Satanic cult worshippers--very dark people! Then we have those who call themselves Christians and are deceived by leaders and churches with wayward doctrines. Then we have those who are atheists and just plain good folk who have no faith at all---they also are by default followers of Satan, just as we were before we received the great salvation offered to us by Jesus Christ. Praise God!

Yes I spouse that's very possible. Then there's greed, envy, lust, sloth, gluttony and wrath just as destructive.

Definition of "Follower":

–noun
1. a person or thing that follows.
2. a person who follows another in regard to his or her ideas or belief.
3. a person who imitates, copies, or takes as a model or ideal.

Accusations against Satan:

Liar [all he speaks are lies].
Murderer from the beginning.
Tempter
Accuser

Please explain how those who aren't ardent followers of Christ, are automatically "followers of Satan" [given, of course, the definition of what it means to BE a "follower" above]?

To be honest, I did a search through the bible to see all the bad things that Satan did, . . . . and I have to be honest, . . . . I didn't see too much. Accuser, sure, . . . tempting, perhaps. Never saw a verse where he killed. Not completely sure about the "liar" part. A few, perhaps. :shrug Regardless, from what I see, I don't appear to be [at all] a "follower of Satan". Not that he seems to be all that bad anyway. Seems more like he works for god more than strives against him.
