I wanted to share some videos from a recent trip to Israel. We went to Nazareth, Galilee, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the River Jordan. Seeing the baptism site, St. Peter's house, Joseph's workshop, the Tomb of Jesus and the sites of the miracles was an experience to remember. Jesus' whole life unfolds before you across these sites and is something everyone should see. Hope this video shares some of this with you.

The videos certainly show some of the important Christian sites. I've spent time in Israel and think it's a wonderful place to explore.

Are these commercial tours you took when in Israel?

Partially commercial tours, partially solo. The tour company we used was Bein Harim. The guide was really good and it is what you would expect from most tours. We lucked out and got a great group of other folks from all over, all spoke English and made some friends. I hear you about it being a great place to explore! I found the Old City of Jerusalem a bit odd however, depending on which quarter you are in the people all act totally differently... I guess that is to be expected in a city that combines three religions in such close proximity. Everyone was in good spirits overall and we had a good time.

Old city Jerusalem is different, isn't it? A very small area with so much packed in cheek by jowl. It's where my wife and I stay when we visit Isreal. We've also stayed in Haifa when prowling around the north.

Before visiting the country, I always thought that the experience of visiting was probably over-hyped. But, I really do get a feeling of closeness to Christ when we're there.

What part of visiting Israel was most meaningful to you, do you think? For me, it was definitely the Temple area and the City of David.

Totally hear you... Since you have been to Haifa, here is one more video link you may enjoy. It covers Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh HaNikra.

The interesting part of Caesarea was that in the Roman ruins, they found the only record ever discovered of Pontius Pilate. His name carved into a tablet dating back to the time of Jesus, validating the biblical account.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Stations of the Cross were my favourites personally.
