Is it dignified to look lustfully at someone?
Is it dignified to boast?
Is it dignified to be drunk?

Should Christians have dignity?

Dignity Defined And Used...

  • the quality of being worthy of esteem or respect; "it was beneath his dignity to cheat"; "showed his true dignity when under pressure"
  • formality in bearing and appearance; "he behaved with great dignity"
  • high office or rank or station; "he respected the dignity of the emissaries"
The real question you should ask now that we have defined dignity is this

1. are these actions worthy of respect or eteeem... should christians aspire to these things... is that what god calls for...

2. Regarding Formality in appearance... do these actions draw attention to the fact that this person is a christian in a good way or detract from the idea that god is a great alternative to the world...

3. Do these actions make a christian worthy of respect and thereby show god to be worthy of respect or do they detract from it...

I find this helpful (these are the words of the Lord):

Deck yourself with majesty and dignity;
clothe yourself with glory and splendor. Job 40:10 RSV
